NDI
12 TopicsUnable to activate Production tools setting and download link no working
In new Teams it is not possible to enable Production tools setting although I have the policy to allow NDI (and have had for a long time). I get an error stating "Production tools are not supported." The download link for NDI binaries is also not working. Nothing happens when clinking the link. This is all running on a normal PC laptop with Win10. Working in classic Teams. Anyone else with the similar issue?1.3KViews1like2CommentsNDI Broadcast Feature Intermittent and Unreliable
Hi friends. I'm dealing with an NDI / Microsoft Teams "Broadcast with NDI" issue and am hoping I can get some help. I have a streaming system through my work where my streaming computer is custom-made and running VMIX. We pull our virtual speakers in through NDI via Teams on a separate computer that's on the same network. We've done this for years without issue. I ran a live stream with 10 presenters in Teams using NDI and the active speaker input in VMIX just a few weeks ago and had zero issues. Yesterday, I went to test for an upcoming stream, and for the life of me, Teams would immediately stop the NDI broadcast feature right after I start it and the inputs would not appear on my streaming computer's VMIX's NDI window. I swapped out the computers running Teams twice and got the same result. I have run all the updates I could, rebooted everything including my switch, router, etc., but nothing's working. Has anyone dealt with this before? Seems to be a Teams-related matter vs. a network or computer issue. Later in the day, I did a Teams clear cache and it brought in 1 speaker in, but didn't pull in active speaker. My only next step at the moment is to roll-back teams to an older version in hopes that fixes it. Thoughts, recommendations?Solved3.6KViews0likes9CommentsNo meeting policy in the Teams admin center
Hello, In order to test the NDI features of Teams, I asked for a month trial for the family edition of the "Microsoft 365" and the "Teams premium". The first step would be to activate the "NDI-out" for the meeting policy, in the Teams admin center, but my Teams admin center only shows me 2 features for Meetings : "Meetings settings" and "Live events settings". There are no policies features. -> do you know why and how can I have them ? Thanks in advance for your help.2.2KViews0likes6CommentsActivating NDI in Teams not working
Hi, we just turned on NDI for our organization, and I see it in my Settings>Permissions panel. When I try to activate it i get the message saying "There was a problem downloading the file Try turning NDI on again" I have tried activating it both on my laptop and my desktop computer with the same error. I've also tested on several of my colleagues computers and it activates and downloads the files for them. I've added a screenshot of the message I see. Does anyone know what the issue is and how I can fix it?Solved25KViews0likes21CommentsMicrosoft Teams NDI settings
My aim was to place the participants in the virtual studio in Unreal Engine as I wanted, using the NDI systems of the meeting programs. After a long struggle, I managed to run the NDI technologies of Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams programs with OBS studio and determined that the most suitable program was Microsoft Teams and the easiest program was Skype. I prepared a short video and comparison about it. There may be those who need it, I hope it helps. Hi! I am super happy with the implementation of NDI in Teams, it's a great way to amp up production quality. Now in one case, we are having more than 20 active participants/panelists. Will it be possible to use the NDI stream output for the Live Events as well? The Live Events producer lacks some settings, I'm not 100% sure if that is due to admin policy or just me looking in the wrong place. For example I haven't found the option to host a Q&A or vote in the Producer View. The idea is to invite 22 people as contributors in the Live Event, capture their camera input and display them on a large video wall for the local participants. Best case Scenario would be using NDI for independent outputs. Worst case: I need to stream the main event screen to said video wall. But I would really like the large wall to be filled with all participants. The up and downstream capacity should not be an issue, since we're well connected. Hello, We are testing Teams for a customer for a project to use Teams meetings and NDI to extract participants feed. We have done two testings without any issue but today we started to have Teams crashing when using this feature. I have attached the logs collected from the Teams desktop client. When we first join the meeting at 21:00 with NDI on, after accepting some participants Teams starting to continuously crash. From a total of 4 laptops, two had the ame issue and the other two were ok. The solution was to get two new laptops. One was able to continue the meeting with no issues and streaming the NDI but another continue to give the crash and the solution was also to change the user. Did anyone face something like this? Hi all, I'm having problems with the new-ish NDI feature. It has passed almost a week since the Global policy of our tenant was updated to include the NDI option. Most of my colleagues have the option on their settings->permissions tab, but I don't. I have confirmed I'm using the latest Teams client (1.3.00.24755 (64-bit)) on Windows 10. Any idea on why this is not showing up? Cheers Jose3.2KViews0likes2CommentsNDI stopped working
Hello all, We have been using Teams with NDI for the last month, with a lot of success. However, it stopped working all of the sudden. Now, we can activate it as always, but Teams does not generate any NDI signals. We have tested all the NDI installation and it seems to be working for the rest of the software that use NDI (Skype is working for instance), but Teams is giving us a headache. We can enable and disable NDI, but no signal is generated whatsoever. Is it a general problem? We have tried on different systems and accounts, and NDI is still not working. Any help?Solved4.9KViews2likes8Comments
