I created a column called “Versionsnummer” as text, in which the version of the document from the SharePoint "Version" (see picture, 67.0) is created via PowerAutomate; displayed as a number (but is text according to the above setting)- works, see picture, 66.0; as this is text, in need to converte to number So i created a column called “Umwandeln” as a number and entered above "Versionsnummer" via calculate (formula: =[Versionsnummer]) and stored the data type returned by the formula as a number- works, see picture 66.0; now i want to add +1 to that I created a new column called “Umwandeln+1” as a number from the “Umwandeln” column to add +1 to the version number (from 2.) using a calculated formula (formula: =[Umwandeln]+1)- does not work #Value! Does anyone have any idea why this isn't working? However, i havent´s found any similar conversations. Thx in advance!111Views0likes10CommentsHow to get Calculated Column Microsoft List appear in Power AutomateSharepoint Dynamic Content

There's enough terrible grammar and spelling in the world without a tool designed to eliminate it instead making it worse. I'm working in SharePoint, and cannot get the tool to stop giving me this bad advice, which would turn a correct sentence into one with a tragic error.29Views1like1CommentHide Personal OneDrive Results from Search
I have received complaints from users who are becoming confused when they find their own work OneDrive files in the SharePoint search results. The either worry someone else can see their confidential files, or simply don't understand the concept of checking the URL. Is there an easy way to remove these results from the default search? Additionally, are there any reasons we should not restrict these results?622Views0likes6CommentsPreventing creation of sub-folders
I have been creating some new group connected SPO sites. I have been asked to restrict users from creating sub-folders for some of the base folders. Structure is as follows: Shared Documents General Folder 1 Folder 2 Folder 3 I want to allow users to create folders in Folder 1 and 2, but for Folder 3, not be able to create sub-folders, BUT they must still be able to create and modify files. Is this even possible, ideally looking for a PowerShell solution, anyone have any pointers?45Views0likes1CommentSharePoint List - How to open Edit Current View option in same Tab
Hi All, Currently I am using SharePoint Online site collection. In that list if I click on Edit current view option from any view then it open in new Tab to edit view settings. How to open that in the same Tab? As in SharePoint 2013 if you modify list view then it opens in same Tab so this same behavior want in SharePoint Online. Is there any way to open in same Tab on SharePoint Online List. Thanks, Harish Patil48Views0likes2CommentsHelp! SharePoint is mixing up my document metadata and it's driving me crazy 😅
Hey everyone! I'm hoping someone here has seen this weird issue before because it's starting to really mess with our approval workflows. What's happening (the really frustrating part) So I built this document management system using SharePoint + Power Automate for our approval process. It was working great for months, but now SharePoint has started doing this really weird thing where it's mixing up metadata between different documents. Like, User A uploads a document, but SharePoint says it was uploaded by User B. Or a document from our other office suddenly shows up as being from another country. It's like SharePoint is getting confused and grabbing random metadata from other files! Here's what I'm seeing with the metadata fields: Wrong uploader names - The metadata shows the wrong person uploaded it (but version history is correct) Department mix-ups - Documents are getting tagged with the wrong office/department Date weirdness - Upload dates keep changing on existing documents My setup (in case it matters) SharePoint Online with custom document library Power Automate flows that kick off approval workflows when docs are uploaded Multiple users uploading files throughout the day Custom metadata fields for uploader, department, dates, etc. Since we use these documents for approvals, having wrong metadata is really bad news. Approvals are going to the wrong people, our audit trail is messed up, and people are starting to not trust the system. Has anyone else run into this metadata inheritance/mixing problem? A few specific things I'm curious about: Could this be a content type issue? Like, are multiple content types somehow sharing metadata? Is Power Automate maybe processing things too fast and causing conflicts? Could it be some kind of caching problem in SharePoint? Is this related to users uploading documents at the same time? What I've already tried Checked version history (it's correct there) Looked at my Power Automate flows Had users clear their browser cache Double-checked permissions Really just looking for anyone who's been through something similar! Specifically: What caused it for you? How did you fix it? Any tips to prevent it from happening again? Should I maybe restructure how my document library is set up? This worked perfectly for months and now it's like SharePoint has developed multiple personality disorder with my metadata 🤦♂️ Any ideas or war stories would be super helpful! Thanks in advance! Thanks in advance !62Views0likes2CommentsReplace All no longer available!
Hi , I am trying to copy bulk of files from one folder to another in the same site library. The source has same files names as in the destination. When you using the copy to feature in SharePoint to copy the files I only get replace and keep both for indiduval files interestingly I no longer get replace all as an option to replace everything in one click. Can you please let me know why Replace All is no longer available as an option ?34Views0likes2CommentsChoice column - have any limits changed
We have a document library we've been using for quite a while now that has, among others, a choice column. In the past we've been able to select as many options as we need from this column without hitting any limits, but within the last two weeks we've started receiving an error that the column cannot have more than 255 characters. Has something changed recently? We have records saved in this document library that have far more options selected for this column than what we are trying to select for these latest records, and we were able to save these without error.232Views1like3CommentsIssue with Sub Folder Permission Inheritance Not Breaking Properly
We are experiencing unexpected behavior in our SharePoint Online environment regarding permission inheritance on subfolders. Our document library has the following folder structure: Document Library > Common (folder) > Home (subfolder). We followed the standard procedure to stop permission inheritance on the Home subfolder, expecting it to have unique permissions separate from the Common folder. However, after stopping inheritance on Home, when we add or modify permissions on the Common folder, these permission changes still appear on the Home folder. We have verified multiple times that inheritance was stopped on Home, but changes to Common’s permissions still propagate to Home, which contradicts the expected behavior. Could you please help us understand why the Home subfolder is still inheriting permissions from the Common folder even after breaking inheritance? Is this a known issue or limitation in SharePoint Online? Are there any workarounds or fixes we can apply to ensure subfolder permissions are truly unique once inheritance is broken?Solved70Views0likes2Comments
