The helpdesk has confirmed that I have an m365 family subscription. This would allow me to receive 1000 responses in Forms. However, when I log in to Forms with my details, only 200 answers are accepted. In addition, I get a "buy button" on the screen. In other words, Forms "thinks" that I have a free plan. I haven't seen anyone talking about this online store
There is this office and windows key store called esd codes and they sell office keys. They seem legit since they're affiliated with Microsoft and they have mostly positive reviews but I the description of every office key and I mean every has a note stating "if office (literally every single one) version is not available, you will receive the Professional Plus version at the same price" which they are trying to make it look like an upgrade but from what I searched the professional plus versions are bought in bulk by big companies and organizations and after they stop being updated they are being sold for cheap probably by employees. I have found multiple for less than 2 or even 1 buck and I feel they are scamming people.
M365 Licensing for small retail store
I have a client who is a small retail store, using generic email addresses based on department, as opposed to individual users. Looking for the best way to license for Office Desktop Apps. Scenario: Front counter - 2 x PC's and both need access to generic email address sales@ Back office - 1 x PC needs access to generic email address admin@ For us to have Office on these machines, using M365 is the correct way: Option 1: Front Counter: Create Business Standard License and email address sales@ Install Office on both machines, as Business Standard gives up to 5 copies of Office Back Office: Create Business Standard License and email address admin@ Install Office on both machines, as Business Standard gives up to 5 copies of Office Option 2: Create 3 x Business Standard licenses, one for each PC - although the associated email addresses will never be used and be hidden Create a shared mailbox sales@ and admin@ Assign permissions for shares mail boxes as needed - the shared mailbox would need to be the default Send From email addresses I am getting conflicting advice - Option 1 is not legal as the mailboxes are not actual people, and Option 2 seems clunky Business does not want to purchase once off copies of Office due to wanting to pay monthly... Hi all, I'm working with a small company that just updated its business name. They want to update their Microsoft 365 licences to the new domain, which is currently registered with GoDaddy. As they weren't ready to change this straight away, some 365 (essential) Email accounts were set up in GoDaddy. Now they are ready to make the 365 update, but the email situation seems really confusing, and the two options seem to be: 1) delete the accounts and set them up again, 2) use GoDaddy to manage the changeover - but the tech support seemed a little vague on this and the timings. Has anyone used the GoDaddy managed change and was it successful? Or would you recommend doing it manually? (Or another option?) Sorry, I know versions of this have been asked before, but I'd really appreciate some up-to-date advice if possible. Thanks very much!
Compliance licenses at tenant level
Hi, We are a small organization of about 200 employees, and we have following requirements. DLP policies configuration at Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint BYOD security Users should not be able to send files outside the org And so on as we evaluate We already have M365 Business Premium. However, after researching we figured out that M365 Business premium will alone not solve our requirements. May be compliance license will. We want to apply security policies at tenant level in our organization but definitely do not want every user to get licenses as this will be expensive for us and there is no requirement at all for our users. The question is, Is there a way to solve the above scenario?
“Word Online Transcribe shows ‘Go Premium’ despite active Microsoft 365 Family subscription”
On all of my Chromebook devices, Word Online Transcribe shows ‘Go Premium’ despite an active Microsoft 365 Family subscription. So, I'm effectively blocked from using that function because it requires an upgrade that I already have. I have already contacted support. Support replied: Microsoft confirmed a recent bug where Transcribe incorrectly showed “Upgrade to Premium” for active subscribers. The fix was rolled back, but cached tokens may still cause issues. Clearing cookies or signing in via InPrivate usually resolves this. The “Go Premium” message in Word Online’s Transcribe feature is a known bug, not a new paywall, and it persists for some Microsoft 365 subscribers even with an active plan. However, their suggested fixes (clearing cache, reinstalling PWA, updating Chrome OS, setting language to English US) have not resolved this problem for me. Support was not able to provide any further potential solutions. They suggested using OneNote dictation, which uses the same transcription protocol, but I haven't figured out how to use it on OneNote, as I typically don't use it. Also, the main use case for me is to upload recorded content and having Word Online transcribe with time stamps and speaker labels. Other than buying another service to do this, MS Word Online was the best way to achieve this.
