Show available digital licenses in our Microsoft account in Windows 10 settings, activation
There needs to be a way to view available digital licenses inside our Microsoft account, I think in Windows settings => update and security => Activation would be the most suitable place. it has benefits, the most important one is so user can see their available licenses in their Microsoft account and make a wise decision based on that info. please upvote this feedback in feedback hub: https://aka.ms/AAbdhft

Why is a fresh Enterprise Evaluation installation license expired?
Hello, normally whenever I would install the Windows Enterprise Evaluation it would automatically activate the 90-day license. This has changed however as this time I did a fresh install (already tried both Windows 10 and 11) I get the Windows License is expired message in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The System->Activation menu says We can't activate Windows on this device right now. You can try activating again later or ... Error code: 0xC004C032. When I run slmgr /ato to activate I sometimes (not sure what the reason for change is - maybe this changed after I tried to change the product key to what I found supposedly is a "generic Enterprise key for recovery") get the same error as above - 0xC004C032 (running slui on that returns The activation server reported that new time based activation is not available) or 0x80072F8F (A security error occured). I read that syncing the date/time might be an issue but as far as I can tell its synced correctly with time.windows.com Any ideas about what the issue could be? Or has something changed in how activation works for evaluation distributions? Any input is appreciated Thanks

error message when starting Teams on Desktop and Web "You're Missing Out..."
Hello planning a Skype to Teams upgrade, just want to start Teams on my PC so I can get the feeling of it. Trial license for Defender Endpoint for Servers
Hi everyone, we want to change from Symantec Endpoint Protection to Defender for Endpoint Servers. To have a PoC we wanted to get 5 trial licenses to test it out. But these licenses are not available in "purchase services" or i look at the wrong place. Are there trial licenses available? We already rolled out the clients and wanted our servers to follow. ESU (Extended Support Update ) and SA (Software Assurance) for 2008 R2 virtual guest on VMware ESXi
Hello, I'm trying to understand licensing term for ESU (Extended Support Update ) and SA (Software Assurance) for 2008 R2 virtual guest on VMware ESXi. When I read ESU guide, it seems the licensing is to cover physical cores of the hypervisor, not individual VM. I read multiple times, but still confusing. ESU guide: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/extended-security-updates First of all my environment is below; - 2 ESXi servers, 16 Cores, 2 Processors. Total 32 cores. - 3 Windows Server 2008 R2, 3 Windows Server 2012 R2. - 50% VM guests (3 VMs) run on ESXi A, 50% on ESXi B. - Through vCenter, failover vMotion is configured. What I understand for Microsoft ESU licensing; - ESU is core-based. 1 license covers 2 cores of 'physical' processors, in this case, ESXi physical cores. - Minimum 16 cores(8 licenses) need for 1 server. - After physical cores are licensed as above, two Windows Server virtual guests will be covered, as adding more guests, need to cover physical cores of the hypervisor in the same way(1 physical core cover will provide 2 Windows server guests). What I don't understand when it comes to virtual guest on VMware; - As ESU guide says, I need to cover the physical cores of the hypervisor, so my calculation is for 1 ESXi server; 1 (ESXi) x 32 (cores) / 2 (2 core per license) = 16 licenses - Then, since I have 3 Windows Server 2008 R2 which need ESU, I need to cover one more time of ESXi's physical cores. Does below calculation looks correct if I put all Windows server 2008 R2 to ESXi A only? 1 (ESXi) x 32 (cores) / 2 (2 core per license) x 2 (3 virtual guests) = 32 licenses need to be purchased - Then, even though I put all 3 2008 R2 VMs on ESXi A, since I configured vMotion failover, should I license ESXi B as the same way or is there any term such as "If the number of days of VMs on a failover host B is not more than 10 days per 1 year, you need to cover only one hypervisor" Thank you in advance.

RDP Licensing in Server 2019
Good morning Everyone, I had posted this message the other day but I can not find it now so I hope it's not a duplicate! How do I license RDP for Windows 2019? I've stood up 2 Windows 2019 Insider servers, one for an RDP license server and the other for a development server. My developers need Windows Services for Linux and the likes so moving to 2019 was the only way I found to get there with a GUI. I'm trying to activate licenses and the license server, when set to automatic, returns an error and says chose another method of activation. Trying to use activate.microsoft.com doesn't work and neither does telephone activation. Are there any facilities in place for activating RDP licenses yet? If so, how to I get there from here? If not, I can run RDP in eval mode for the 120 days but then, are activation facilities expected to be in place before the evaluation ends? Thanks, -brian

vamt activate through active directory server 2019 error Product key not available
Hi, I setup a new VAMT server on a Server 2019. Installed the volume-kms-key on the server and add it in VAMT. I put the KMS key for Win10 LTSB, Win10 LTSC, Office 2016 and Server 2019 of via Volume activation tools in the active directory. After that i installed the KMS client key for the server 2019. Now i try to activate a license on a server 2019 with the option automaticaly select a kms client key (GVLK). It return with an error "Product key not available". The strange thing is that when i select manualy the same kms client key (GVLK) for server 2019 and after that i select activate license it works. On the info of the server it says Volume activation methode: Active directory activation and AD activation object: Windows(R) Operating System, VOLUME_KMS_WS19 channel what is the right one. How can i get a direct license activation through active directory like for my windows 10 LTSB workstations. Regards, Ernst

Microsoft Teams Call queues
When you create a call queue and have it redirected to a "person in organisation" what is the minimum license/s that this user account needs when selecting it in the "person in organisation" option? On the shared mailbox I was pointing this to, so the voicemails would get sent to this shared mailbox I could only select the user account of the mailbox when it had a calling plan and Microsoft 365 phone system license. If I only had the Microsoft 365 Phone system license it would not let me select the shared mailboxes user account. I get this error: "You are trying to link first name last name but they aren't enterprise voice-enabled." Just seems overkill that the shared mailbox needs a calling plan when they are not making calls and only receiving a call?
