Hello Calendar Community, RSVP (responding to meeting invitations) is an area with lots of opportunity for improvements in Outlook Calendar. I’m reaching out to gather your feedback on RSVP. We’re particularly interested in understanding: Ease of Use: How intuitive and user-friendly do you find the current RSVP process? Functionality: Are there any features you wish were included to improve the RSVP experience? Efficiency: How could we make RSVPing quicker and more efficient for you? Overall Experience: Any other comments on your overall experience with the RSVP functionality? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I am really eager for some insights from our community and its power calendar users. cheers, Gio11KViews2likes10CommentsAllow Custom Recurring Meetings with Different Times on Different Days
Currently, Microsoft Teams only supports recurring meetings with the same time across all selected days. I wanted to set up a recurring meeting on Tuesdays at 3:00 PM and Thursdays at 5:00 PM, but this is not possible within a single recurring event. I was forced to create two separate events to accommodate the different times. It would be incredibly helpful if Teams allowed users to create recurring meetings with: Different times on different days More flexible recurrence rules (e.g., every Tuesday at one time, every Thursday at another) This added flexibility would streamline scheduling and reduce clutter on calendars.1.1KViews2likes2CommentsMS Outlook app on Apple Watch SE
I have an Apple Watch SE (A2355) and the MS Outlook app cannot be installed on it anymore. It was an excellent way to access my work calendar on the go. The reason is that the OS version is 10.6 but 11 is needed. Is there a workaround or a fix for this? Note that I can't use Apple Calendar because my employer has disabled the Outlook calendar sharing function for security reasons.89Views0likes2CommentsCalendar to send invites from a generic email address
I've basically set up a shared mailbox called meetings@... The intention is to use its calandar to book meetings for various groups in our club membership and to have one central area where a team of staff can use it instead of their own logins and cluttering up their personal calendars. What we want is the invites for this calendar invite to appear to come from meetings@... I've added a few people as members of the shared calendar so they can post invites. However, even if we send out an invite "From:meetings@...", the invitee always gets the invite from the individual, not the shared account. The meeting invite has to come from meetings@.... How do we do this? Have I missed something when setting this up? Is the Event creating process different to posting from a personal mailbox? Is using a shared mailbox even the best way to create this shared calendar?Solved10KViews0likes5CommentsUnified Company Calendar for Mixed Microsoft 365 and Non-365 Users – 2025
Seeking a Shared Calendar Solution for Mixed Microsoft 365 and Non-365 Users I’m working on a solution to create a shared company calendar that everyone in our organization can view, while keeping editing permissions limited to a few selected individuals. The challenge: Some of our team members do not use Microsoft 365, and I’d like them to still be able to subscribe to or view the calendar and receive updates. Ideally, this should work without requiring full Microsoft accounts. I initially considered using an ICS-based calendar, but it seems Microsoft 365 Group calendars don’t support sharing via ICS links. I also explored creating a Group calendar as suggested in other threads, but ran into issues making it accessible to external users or those without 365 accounts. For context, I’m a Global Admin, so I have full access to configure settings in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Exchange if needed. We’re a small business, and our main goal is to have a centralized calendar for vacation schedules and company-wide events. It should be simple to access and maintain, with a focus on collaboration and accessibility across the board. What I’m looking for: A calendar that’s viewable by all, including non-M365 users Editable only by a few delegated team members Compatible with Microsoft 365, but not dependent on it for basic access Any tools, workarounds, or best practices that have worked for others in similar hybrid environments93Views0likes2CommentsBookings time slots
Hi everyone, I have a booking calendar created, which is designed to support two customers at the same time. So 2 slots can be booked at the same time. I was trying to change only one of them, reschedule it for another day, but I can't see such an option. Whenever I'm trying to change only one of the bookings, it reschedules both of them. Does anyone know if there is such an option, but I don't know how to do it, or there is no option like that. Thank you.77Views0likes1CommentHow to control which users you see in the Places app
My company is looking into using the Places app. I have buildings, rooms, floors, etc, all setup. This is duplicated from what is already setup for Room Finder in Outlook. We use M365 Business Premium or M365 E5 licenses. Nobody has Teams Premium licenses at this point. Those of us testing have set our working days/hours/location in the Calendar in New Outlook and that shows up fine in Places. I can see the people I favorited and what building they are in (whether it's in New Outlook, Teams or the M365 Copilot Places app. The issue I am having is that I see one user (who I have not favorited) listed every day and I have no idea how to remove this person from my daily Places list. Other people also see this same person in their Places list and some see a different person. I only want to see those people I have favorited and nobody else. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?371Views0likes4CommentsOutlook for Mac event hard limit hiding events with a '+' in all views
Since a recent update, Outlook for Mac now rolls up events into a plus(+) button on Day, Three Day, Working Week and Month views. What this means is that despite having plenty of space to show events, they're hidden behind another button. I have a very busy calendar and mostly use the month view - I have a portrait monitor particularly used for the calendar at the office which is now totally useless because all the real estate that aspect creates is wasted. I don't understand what added value the + button brings when there is space to be used and I have tried and failed to find something I can configure to change it! Month View Example - Seems to have a 7 event hard limit Day View Example - Hard limit of three for all day events I would also love love love the ability to scroll through months in month view - for example, in the last two weeks of a month I want to be viewing the next 4-5 weeks not two weeks in the past I don't care about and only two weeks into the future. Seems like an easy ask?119Views0likes2Comments
