Hi friends. I'm dealing with an NDI / Microsoft Teams "Broadcast with NDI" issue and am hoping I can get some help. I have a streaming system through my work where my streaming computer is custom-made and running VMIX. We pull our virtual speakers in through NDI via Teams on a separate computer that's on the same network. We've done this for years without issue. I ran a live stream with 10 presenters in Teams using NDI and the active speaker input in VMIX just a few weeks ago and had zero issues. Yesterday, I went to test for an upcoming stream, and for the life of me, Teams would immediately stop the NDI broadcast feature right after I start it and the inputs would not appear on my streaming computer's VMIX's NDI window. I swapped out the computers running Teams twice and got the same result. I have run all the updates I could, rebooted everything including my switch, router, etc., but nothing's working. Has anyone dealt with this before? Seems to be a Teams-related matter vs. a network or computer issue. Later in the day, I did a Teams clear cache and it brought in 1 speaker in, but didn't pull in active speaker. My only next step at the moment is to roll-back teams to an older version in hopes that fixes it. Thoughts, recommendations?Solved3.5KViews0likes9CommentsSend a message to all users (like a broadcast)
I would like to inform our users about very urgent things (ie please disconnect from the system), and the best way to do that would be to send a chat message to all of them maybe via powershell or graph api? Is there currently a way to do that? I know I could create an ORG wide group and post in there...Solved195KViews1like20CommentsProblem during Live event broadcast
Hello~ My organization has been using live events for a while, I personally have been producer of 4-5. We do the broadcast connecting multiple speakers from different countries, so everyone in the organization can become more connnected. Yesterday we hosted one of our quarterly events where the C-level provides updates about the company....the event was going well, everyone in all the locations were doing a great job, but at the end something went wrong, at some point, not sure why the image disapeared. The attendees were still able to listen, the audio was fine, but the image couldn't be moved to the live feed, I tried pulling only the share screen, having only the webcam, having both, nothing worked. I also tried to leave the event and join again, use another producer account, nothing working. This happened after the event have been going smoothly for about 45-50mins, all the suddlen the image that was live (ppt+webcam) disapeared (when this happen, no changes were being done to the broadcast, we were just listening to a presentation), when I as producer tried to put any content in the live feed I got an error message (but no error number), see screencap below:Solved1.5KViews0likes1CommentSkype Meeting Broadcast - recommendations when feeding video clips into Event?
Hi all - Giving this new network a try! We are using Skype Meeting Broadcast to conduct company-wide town halls and the like. We're a media company so in general these meetings include talking heads as well as frequent use of clips and sizzle reels into the event. Today we are accomplishing this using an Inogeni SDI->USB or HDMI->USB converter to feed the video into essentially the speaker camera feed in the Producer client. We're noticing some variable quality depending on the clip. Does Microsoft have recommendations on the clip format (encoding type, bitrate, etc.) to achieve best quality. We're not certain if the artifacting we are seeing is coming from the SFB client that is acting as Producer or if on the backend in whatever it is that Skype Broadcast Meetings does to create the event feed for viewers. Thanks so much! Dave11KViews4likes17CommentsSkype Meeting Broadcast in a hybrid enviroment
We are trying to test Skype Meeting Broadcast, but have not been able to get it to work. We are setup hybrid between lync 2013 onprem and s4b online. The user testing is on s4b online, but it keeps failing when he tries to start the broadcast. Is this configuration supported and does anyone here have it working in a hybrid environment? thanks,jb1.1KViews0likes1CommentCan I use Skype Meeting Broadcast with a hybrid deployment if on-prem is Lync Server 2013?
Hi, I am very interested in leveraging the Skype Meeting Broadcast capabilities for our company. We have E1 licenses for everyone but our Skype deployment is using Lync Server 2013 on-prem, and will likely remain that way for a while. I have been reading through the documentation for this and it isn't clear to me if Skype for Business Server 2015 is required to do this hybrid setup or if we can do hybrid with Lync Server 2013 and still use Broadcast. I started with this article: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/What-is-a-Skype-Meeting-Broadcast-c472c76b-21f1-4e4b-ab58-329a6c33757d At the bottom there is a link to https://technet.microsoft.com/library/mt243953.aspx, which specifies that the article is for Skype for Business Server 2015. That is why I thought it was a requirement... however, once inside that article, I saw there was this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205403.aspx, which contained instructions server 2015 as well as 2013 here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205403(v=ocs.15).aspx. It looks like the hybrid configuration is supported with Lync Server 2013 on premises, but I can't tell for sure if that includes support for Skype Meeting Broadcast, or of that is just for basic capabilities. Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brian1.3KViews1like1CommentWelcome to the Skype Meeting Broadcast Preview Community!

We've trialled SfB Broadcast Meeting, and found it promising but a bit limited at present - screen sharing for us is a major requirement - however I can't find a roadmap or similar with information on when/if that function (or any others) are going to be introduced. Are there ongoing plans for SfB Broadcast to be developed, or is it a "garage" project that's out there but will now be ignored and left as-is?2.3KViews3likes5CommentsSkype Meeting broadcast is not enabled for .edu,.gov and non-profit organization
