Skype Meeting broadcast is not enabled for .edu,.gov and non-profit organization

Skype Meeting broadcast is not enabled for .edu,.gov and non-profit organization

To use SFB Broadcast you need to have O365 Enterprise license E1,E3 or E5 with Skype for Business Online Standalone Plan Currently SFB Broadcast meeting is not allowed for Education, Government and Non-Profit Organization

We really want it for our schools

Paul Cannon you could use the licensing scheme.... students are tagged with student licenses, and staff are tagged with staff. you are right, we would only want staff members to do the broadcast side of things. Lake Washington School District is interested in this feature. Let me know if you would are local and want to talk/test.
  • Skype meeting broadcast is available for commercial, gov, and non profit customers. They do need the equivilent of E1 in their respective licensing scenarios. I think we are saying the same thing here :-).

For education, the story is a bit more complicated. We are currently working out how to limit the organizer \ producer functionality to those designated as faculty. Customer feedback was clear on this requirement. We hav enothign to say publically yet about timing for this.

Thank you Paul, We are on Office 365 Education for faculty and Office 365 Education for students on an Education Tenant.  We cannot get E1 licenses as Microsoft mentioned we are not allowed to commercial license on a Education tanent. Can you please advise if there is an alternative solution?
