Black Screen
6 TopicsWhen screen sharing people see black screen
Hi, I had Thinkpad laptop and was using additional monitor on and off without any issues and suddenly since 2-3 weeks, when I am trying to share my screen, people are just seeing black screen. This is with both option i,e. when using laptop alone and also with additional monitor. Note there were no issues earlier. Last weekend, I got a new laptop which is MS Surface 3, and after installing all MS apps on this machine, I am having the same issue. This is without any additional monitors. This is causing issues for me and my team and would appreciate quick resolution. Thanks and Regards, VirenSolved187KViews4likes53Comments[LAPTOP]is it possible to go through BIOS/Safe mode screens using external screen using HDMI cable?
Hello, I am new to this site so tell me if i do something wrong. I have encountered a problem that has been with me for few years. Long time ago i broke my laptop screen, and am forced to use external screen since then, using HDMI cable. (only available port on the laptop) The main broken screen still acts like it is working, but is not usable. external screen is detected as 2nd screen. i successfully set it up to show like a main screen, but it does not work outside of awake system state. And here is the problem. everything happening in BIOS, recovery screen, Windows update - all stuff that is happening outside of normal running state of the computer is only showing on the main, broken screen. It is incredibly difficult to navigate through menus in this state. There were cases where magically it would show on external screen but it happened for a very short period of time and did not know the cause. also happened quite a long time ago so i don't remember too much. Solution I am looking for is to get external monitor/screen working through HDMI in BIOS and similiar stuff. Here is some basic information about my device: -Laptop model: Huawei MateBook D (2019) -System: Windows 10 Home I will be happy to cooperate to reach my solution.734Views0likes4CommentsAUKEY-Webcam does not work in MS Teams on MacOS anymore
Hi all! Since today (without any changes to the system I know of) the webcam on my Mac does not work in Teams anymore. Teams can "see" the webcam (in settings -> devices) but it only shows a black screen in video calls. I use a M1 Mac Mini with the latest OS-softwareupdates. (checked today) I tried the following diagnostic steps: check if Teams is allowed to use the camera (in Systemsettings). It is. check with other devices and operating systems (Win10, Linux on my Laptop) if the webcam is broken. It works there flawlessly. uninstall and reinstall the Teams-App on the Mac. The problem persists. try out other apps on the Mac (Zoom, Facetime). The camera works there. try out the Teams Webclient in Safari. The camera works there. This leads me to the conclusion that the MS-Teams Mac-App somehow stopped liking my webcam over the weekend - and I don´t know how to fix it. Does anybody have a comparable problem or even a solution? Kind regards and thanks 🙂 HaukeSolved8.5KViews3likes12CommentsFlickering, Black Screen, Taskbar, YouTube Bugs and more at my new Spectre X360 13"
Three months ago I purchased the HP Spectre X360 13" , i7 , 16gb RAM, 512 SSD and since then I have been experiencing some certain screen bugs, especially when the laptop stays on for several hours. 1) Flickering, Black Screen, Freeze and Breaking: It always starts with intense flickering and cracking of the screen (i.e. distorted letters and numbers), then the screen freezes for seconds and the display gets filled with horizontal lines of the headers of the current open windows. As I move the cursor this becomes more and more frequent, while when I use two fingers on the mousepad the screen turns black. 2) No Taskbar: Another thing that I have experienced in the past is the headers of the current open windows to appear both on the top and at the bottom of the screen replacing the window's task bar, which also happens for some seconds. 3) YouTube Bugs: While viewing some videos on YouTube I have experienced a) The video image "running" to the left of the screen like it has been on a spinning wheel. b) When shifting to full-screen mode the video image remaining at small size, c) half the video image being on display as if it could not load the whole picture1.4KViews0likes0CommentsTeams Live event was "Live" but some of my users are stuck on a black screen
We experienced joining a live event in teams the desktop application that just showed a black screen. We knew that the event was proceeding because other colleagues were able to view the live event. Some screens were just stuck in black. Anybody else have experienced this?2.1KViews0likes0Comments
