If you are a partner and hold or want to achieve the D365 BizApps Sales Specialization, you are soon in troubled waters. With required certifications retiring, we partners need to plan to replace our 15 Sales/Customer Insights certifications with new ones. However, Microsoft has not informed us which certifications will replace the current ones for Sales Specialization! We are just weeks away from the retiring deadline (Nov 2024)! This is what we face as partners: Total number of staff with a Sales and Cust Insights certs will decrease from a partner's list of skilled people (for Sales Specialization) from Jan 2025. From Nov 2025 you must have replaced these 15 certifications why "some other certifications". MS announced in May 2024 the retiring of these certs. Now, 6 months later, still no plan (and MB-280 in beta!) In other words: Once MS has announced which new certifications will replace Sales/Customer Insights, we partners must get 15 of our team members certified ASAP (with the new eligible certs). This is a BIG ask, surely for small partner teams, and surely an impact on productivity! And no: For most partners aiming for Sales Specialization, it makes no sense to invest into certifications which retire soon. Just saying, as I saw posts recommending getting certified for MB-210/220 now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The current certification requirements for D365 Sales Specialization are: Fifteen (15) individuals must earn at least one of the following intermediate certifications (And minimum of 3 individuals required in each certification): - and these all retired in Nov 2024! Hello Partners, The Microsoft Business Industry & Copilot (BIC) engineering team confers the designation FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect (FTRSA) to practicing enterprise solution architects who consistently exhibit deep architecture expertise and create high-quality solutions for customers. Why nominate: Recognized architects' profiles, and the partners they work for, are listed on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform architects' websites. Partners may indicate the number of recognized architects they have in their promotional materials and may direct prospective customers to the architects' profile page. Recognized architects get an e-badge to share on LinkedIn and other social media platforms and a gift package. Recognized architects are provided direct communication channels with our product and leadership team Continue reading on our partner news blogBring Back AI Builder Calculator
Hello, This is my campaign to bring back the AI Builder Calculator. Since Ignite, the AI Builder calculator athttps://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder-calculator/ simply redirects tohttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-apps. I feel like this is a misstep. AI Builder looks to be a huge part of Power Automate and Copilot Studio and not giving users a mostly user-friendly way to go about calculating the # of AI Builder credits they will use doesn't seem like the right business decision. As of today, you'd have to know that the rate card is in the Power Platform licensing guide, know how many AI Builder credits you get in a bundle and do the math yourself. The AI Builder calculator did that for you and was an integral part of Microsoft's websites for years. Perhaps another reason this is nonsensical is that AI Builder has much more to do with Power Automate than it does Power Apps, so if you were going to redirect the site, why have it redirect to Power Apps. Please resurrect the AI Builder calculator for the good of the community. -Blake3.9KViews2likes7CommentsBusiness Applications Partner Activities Investments Office hours

Just need some help got a partner quoting on Finance – minimum order quantity 20 obviously Another partner has advised the customer that they could mix say 11 finance with say 9 project ops. Every time we tried to do this in the past its been a no – it has to be 20 of the same product or has this changed? I believe the other partner is getting confused but just need to double check with you and see if you have any MS info on it? The license guide & product info is not very helpful unfortunatelyBusiness Central Licensing: External Users - Customer Portal
We have a prospect for a Business Central implementation that will need a customer portal. They have a portal on their current platform with a large number of users - around 6,500. The new customer portal will be developed as a custom web application so none of the Business Central clients are being used. All good here...the end customer users qualify as External users from a licensing standpoint. My question/concern...for Business Central SAAS, how are these External users created? On Prem I can create a user with NavUserPassword authentication and mark them as License Type = External, but that's not possible in the cloud. Please don't tell me each of the 6,500 users (and any new users going forward) would need to be created by logging into the admin centre and going through the process to invite an external user, then pulling them into BC. That's just not a feasible option from a logistical standpoint.Solved3.8KViews0likes11CommentsBusiness Central Post Deployment Offer
Hi all, I would like to know in this new business central deployment offer: Does the partner need to get all the licenses subscribed by customer in the very first go or the ACR is calculated based on the subscription in 1st year? In other terms the incentives for ACR is eligible when all the licenses are subscripted at first place or is it the sum total in 1st Year?Dynamics 365 Finance Invoice Capture function
I have an inquiry on the consumption part for Finance Invoice Capture function. Licensing guide indicates 100invoice capture transactions/tenant/month. How does Microsoft charge if it exceed the cap of 100 invoices. In the past, it is based on AI Builder credit and charge by number of pages.I understand there is an Electronic Invoicing Add-on for additional transactions but if customer doesn't have it, does Microsoft charge the customer and how?
