Error importing Project Accelerator for Project on the web in power apps
I want to import the Project Accelerator solution for Project for the web (Project Plan 3). The solution can be downloaded form github https://github.com/OfficeDev/Project-Accelerator I am using a 30 day free trial version of M365 Business premium and Project planner premium with Project Plan 3. The suggested method to install the solution (as per above github repo Maintained by microsoft) is using http://powerapps.com/ > solutions > import solution upload the zip file download from the github page. I have global admin rights and using the default environment, and Rights to create Power Automate flows using the Common Data Service connector. However, when I get the following error message Solution "Project for the web Accelerator" failed to import: OptionSets import: FAILURE: SecLib::CheckPrivilege failed. User: XXXXXXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXX, PrivilegeName: prvCreateOptionSet, PrivilegeId: XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX Required Depth: Basic, BusinessUnitId: XXXXX-XXXXXX--XXXXXX, MetadataCache Privileges Count: 5443, User Privileges Count: 1632 I am login in as the global administrator so all permissions must be already in place. In the Power Platform Admin Center, Environments > Settings > Users + Permissions > Security Roles and checked the user's assigned roles. All seems ok. Any help will be most useful.
“Add attachment” in Planner no longer allows file uploads
Hello Microsoft Teams Community, We are experiencing a serious issue: the “Add attachment” option in Microsoft Planner tasks no longer offers the ability to upload files. Until recently, we had three options: Upload from computer Attach from Teams/SharePoint files Add a link to a URL Now, only the “Link to a URL” option appears. This affects all users in our organization and happens across all platforms (Teams desktop, Teams web, and Planner web at tasks.office.com). This is not a permissions or setup issue: The plan is connected to a Microsoft 365 Group File uploads via the “Files” tab in Teams still work No settings have been changed on our side This is critical for our business: we and our clients rely on uploading documents directly to tasks for project tracking. Without this function, Planner becomes unusable for us, and we’ll have to consider switching to a different tool. Can someone from Microsoft confirm: Is this a bug or a recent product change? When can we expect the file upload functionality to return? Thank you in advance for any help or clarification.
Filtering tasks based on custom columns in Microsoft Planner?
In Microsoft Planner, I can add a custom column, and it appears in the table view. However, I do not see an option to filter tasks based on the new column. Is this a supported feature, or is there any workaround to enable filtering on custom fields?
MS Planner & MS Project
Hello, I work as a project manager, and we want to use MS Project in the company. However, it seems to be not very user-friendly. How can I import a project file that has already been created in the MS Project Desktop version into the Project Web App (PWA) with all resources and tasks included? Even though I import the file, it does not show up in PWA, but newly created projects do. Another question is how to send email reminder notifications for tasks assigned to colleagues in PWA. Is it possible to work with both Project Online and the desktop versions simultaneously, meaning will the entered information be updated directly in the other version? Can someone help me please.
Back to school again... again... again
hi all I have been having an issue where each time open planner it gives me the guide. this happens when I log in or refresh the page. Its three clicks that I would like to reduce when I'm trying to re-enter my day. there appears to be no option to permanently say I got the message and move on with my life till the next big update. the X removes the message so that would be one click, clicking next till the end dose the same, but as soon as I need to refresh (because the Planner is out of sync with the cloud) bam "easy filtering", "Create a task", "start a plan". I got it the first time. Perhaps I'm missing something.
What is the best method to migrate all my asana to the planner?
I carried out a survey in the organization where I provide services and came to the conclusion that it is better to migrate all of ASANA's usability to MS Planner, one for reasons that for task tracking it is basically the same, another is the integration with the entire MS platform. But a bigger concern is that the organization has projects in progress and many tasks in history, however, I am looking for the best way to carry out this migration. I see that there are many third-party programs that perform the same function, but I officially check this forum for better tips.Bulk Import
Is there a way to bulk update tasks? If you have a list of requests that need to go out, do I have to individually add each task or can I upload an excel with information to create the tasks? Perhaps there is an option using Power Automate to take items from excel to power automate but haven't tried and wasn't sure if there was a built in feature that doesn't require me to build something custom.Backup & Recovery of Planner
We have many staff using Planner (largely in Teams) for project management - it's a great tool! However, we can't find any way to back up or restore a Planner without use of a 3rd party backup/recovery tool. Can anyone offer current thoughts/suggestions on the best way to assure solid backup/recovery options for Planner?
