I'm running MS 365 on my Samsung Ultra 24 android phone. When using MS Word and choosing the "save as" option, i am given a number of options such as this device, one drive, drop box etc. However I want to save to my NAS via the VPN that connects both my phone and NAS. Can this be done? Is there an Android app that integrates with MS 365 for this purpose? TIA ... Greg8Views0likes0CommentsPresenter Mode Failed to display on ChromeOS

I have a Samsung Galaxy A32 running Android 12. A few days ago, Onenote started telling me was running offline and wanted me to sign in. There was a sign in button on the screen but tapping it did nothing. I could still update notes and the changes would appear on other devices. I should have left it alone, but... I uninstalled Onenote, restarted the phone, and reinstalled it. Since then, when accessing any notebook, the app tells me the notebook isn't open and asks if I'd like to open it. After I tap OK, it says "Sorry, we couldn't open the notes that you were looking for. They may have been moved or deleted, or you may not have permission to open them." It does this for every notebook I try to access. The notebooks are accessible on Windows machines, using the app or a browser. If I try to use a browser on the phone, it flips to the app, or if the app is not installed, the browser asks if I want to install it. There is no access to my notebooks via the browser on the phone. The last steps I've tried are: 1. Clear data from the app 2. Uninstall the app 3. Restart the phone 4. Install the app It takes me right back to where I was, unable to access my notebooks. I also have an old LG tablet running Android 7. After doing the above 4 steps, the results are the same as I get on the phone. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it? Hi guys, For few years I am experiencing this weird behavior on android phone of my wife in regards of use of our family calendar Will try to describe how it is set and what is happening: We both have Office 365 family accounts (under one family) I have created new calendar under my account and shared to my wife account with edit permissions. If she use OWA she can work on events in our shared calendar without issues. If she try to edit event on Samsung mobile phone - in Samsung calendar app - she does not have edit option. She have delete option though. Tried in google calendar app and same - no edit option. If she create new event and save it - she has option to edit for approximately one minute. Than this option disappear. We have already changed phone at least twice and it is always the same. So I have been looking around internet for similar issue reported, but did not find exactly this behavior ... Any thoughts are welcomed ...Solved732Views0likes2CommentsHow to protect data and secure devices with Intune [App Protection Policy] 📱🔒
Protecting organization's data on mobile devices is crucial for companies. In this video, I'll talk about Microsoft Intune and how you can leverage the capabilities of App Protection Policy to secure your company data on mobile devices. Some scenarios covered include allowing copy/paste between trusted apps, avoiding screenshots and screen recording of organization data, sharing files only between managed apps, adding a PIN to access, and encrypting data. #DataProtection #MobileSecurity #MicrosoftIntune :mobile_phone::locked:354Views0likes0CommentsSubject: Microsoft Ecosystem Proposal

After switching from an old iPhone to Galaxy S21 (used Smart Switch app), my Galaxy Contacts app has about 470 contacts. But my Microsoft Exchange account -- online Outlook, desktop Outlook, and Android Outlook apps on the Galaxy) -- are only carrying my older 370+ contacts I previously had. About 100 contacts that are on my Galaxy Contacts app are not syncing with my Microsoft/Outlook. I have turned on the Sync setting at all possible locations I can find on my phone, for all apps and settings, but still no success. Yes, I have all the latest updates of all my apps on the Galaxy S21. Can anyone here help, please?1.1KViews0likes2CommentsEnsure personal iOS, Android, and Windows devices are configured for security and productivity

A: Yes, that is the hint to the SDK that it is an MDM managed app. For more details, see How to manage data transfer between iOS apps in Microsoft Intune. Q: For Android Enterprise Devices in COBO, we are trying to launch OneDrive for our mobile users. Inside of the App Configuration Policy for managed device, I only see the “configuration key” for allowed accounts. Is there additional documentation that has more json keys so that we can automatically configure the app for the user? A: Managed Configuration (App Configuration) in Android Enterprise is pulled from Managed Google Play directly, so if the key is there, we’ll pull it directly. That being said, the key is IntuneMamAllowedAccountsOnly because it is the same key across all apps for the Intune SDK to find it. Here is the iOS documentation and here is the Android documentation. These docs also list the applications that support single account mode (require both the Intune SDK to be integrated and in-app logic by developers to support this mode). Q: Does the application protection policy work based on source only? For example, I have a Word document saved in SharePoint, so the policy applies there. Now let’s say I have the file inside my external hard disk as well, does the policy apply there too? Does the policy apply to both external and non-cloud sources? A: The policy is targeted based on the application and the identity signed into that app. This is about protecting the app. If you need the data wherever it resides, then that is a function of Microsoft Information Protection. Assigning MIP labels would protect the data itself, regardless of location. Feedback We hope you find this session useful. The Microsoft Outlook mobile Android/IOS application is good, but missing VOICE COMMAND INTERFACE like "OK Google"/“Siri”interface, conference call automatons, or any other voice command interface. I’ve read online that Microsoft is strongly encouraging IT departments to enforce users to use the Microsoft Outlook Android/IOS mobile app blocking access to “Active Sync through Office 365 Server settings. The Active Sync approach allows users to route emails to native phone mail. Once routed to native phone you can use apps and voice command to perform all calendar commands hands free. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/outlook-for-ios-and-android/secure-outlook-for-ios-and-android Why does this matter? Today, we’re required to join conference calls while traveling. In the past using the Android/IOS active sync mail(Native Phone Mail App), we could issue voice commands to join the next meeting using hands free voice commands, never touching the phone. The latest IT mandate to use the outlook mobile app requires a user to unlock the phone, click on calendar, locate the invitation, and manually key in the conference information (conference number + pass-code). The manual entry to data reduces safety while traveling. If you pull over in an unsafe location, like the emergency lane on interstate, or side of road, you run additional risk. If you pull over to join a conference call and the cellular tower drops the call then you have to repeat this process again. I’m not sure why Microsoft would encourage the mandate of the mobile Microsoft Outlook application which doesn't support voice command safety. I agree the Microsoft Mobile Outlook application has significantly improved but not ready to replace the mobile tools travelers have been able to leverage to stay productive while traveling. The response from some IT departments at the direction of Microsoft, is to pull over which is not always possible or safe! This lack of voice command is encouraging unsafe practices while traveling. The AT&T “It can Wait” campaign is the right approach, but not always 100% possible with today's demanding work environments.2KViews0likes0Comments
