Any idea how I can get support to contact me? I'm a member of th eMicrosoft Partner Program and earlier this year I contacted them asking them to not turn on 2FA on my account; we manage our security ourselves etc. Now, it seems I cannot login to the portal without setting up Authenticator. I can't contact them because the only way to contact them is by logging in. Any ideas? I've contacted them using the information on this page https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 but it's some useless AI menu that doesn't allow me to speak to a human. I've tried to re-open my previous ticket and they are ignoring me.472Views0likes2CommentsWhen is Microsoft going to bring Microsoft Authenticator windows aka desktop or within edge itself?
When is Microsoft going to bring Microsoft Authenticator windows aka desktop or within edge itself? (People like me lose mobiles) Isn't Windows device considered anything? Only mobiles and android and iOS devices matter? People like don't store important info on Windows devices? Edge has support for in-built password manager like chrome with chrome and google passwords then why is edge not having 2fa support on windows yet in 2024? Is windows still usable if my phones goes for service center, dies randomly, or is stolen? Can I consider windows devices to be of valuable in 2024 or should I shift 100 percent to android and MacOS and ios? Should I throw my windows devices out of window since it is not dependent device when any other fails? On a sidenote, I tried checking out but WinAuth Authenticator exists for Windows PC is open-source & offers 2-step verification (but unfortunately not updated since 2016) so why Microsoft which focuses so much of AI of everything has been able to bring desktop version for windows users? Or am I asking too much in the name of security and privacy that big tech promotes all the time? Can we trust microsoft and windows devices? Or is everything going to be done by google and chrome?1.6KViews0likes2CommentsAzure mandates new users to use authentication app when 2FA is disabled.
Hello. I've just started doing IT support for a small business. When adding a new user to a PC, Windows demands they create 2FA using the Microsoft authenticator phone app despite me having disabled it in as many places as I can. I don't think I have any overriding policies set up either. Attached photos of every configuration section I can find. Can anybody help? Thanks.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsExchange 2019 On Premise 2FA activation only for some mailboxes users
Hi ! We have an AD Forest with Exchange 2019 containing multiple MBX and CAS Server with multiple DAG as a Hosted Exchange for our customers. We want to enable 2FA on one of our client's hosted domains. Apparently we can activate it on all CAS for all mailboxes but not only for some. We have tested activating 2FA with ADFS on two CAS servers and it works. Now we want to restrict users using 2FA to only use these two CASs and block access on CASs that do not have 2FA enabled. Because otherwise it is possible to log in via the other CASs on their mailboxes. Does anyone have a solution to do this? I tried to do it with Exchange 2019 new-clientaccessrule commands but it is not possible with Exchange 2019 On Premise servers, some parameters like ExceptAnyOfAuthenticationTypes are not available. We also considered doing: - A second Exchange organization in the same forest (this is not possible).- A second forest with other Exchange servers (new organization) but this involves a lot of servers in our case. Thanks for your advice and help!565Views0likes0CommentsTeams Guest access 2FA how to change mobile device

Hi I am trying to find some specific info with regards to Exchange Server 2016 on-premise implementation and 2FA/MFA and not finding much luck. I have a client who is looking to implement a 2FA solution for their on-premise exchange environment. They currently have PingFederate in the environment and are implementing Symantec 2FA as the MFA provider. From my understanding I believe that we can implement 2FA without any problems for OWA but I have also been asked to investigate the implementation of 2FA for EWS, ActiveSync and the Outlook Mobile app. This is where I cannot find information. Is it possible to implement 2FA for these services? Please advise3.3KViews0likes1Comment
