- DanielRatliffBrass ContributorIs there a preference on the best way to engage the Edge team? Reddit, Twitter, Tech Community, in-browser feedback, other platforms, or through your Microsoft account team?
- Eric_Lawrence
Microsoft
We do our best to be everywhere. In terms of bug-reporting, In-browser feedback is the way to go (see https://textslashplain.com/2021/12/01/great-bug-reports-via-recreate-my-problem-in-microsoft-edge/ ) because it lets us see exactly what's going on. We have folks that actively monitor Reddit and Tech Community. Twitter (e.g. @msedgedev ; @ericlaw) is more informal and while it's quick, issues may be overlooked. Your Microsoft Account team is the way to go if you've got a scenario that shouldn't be discussed in public (e.g. you've some internal site that is broken) and for which you need active tracking and case management.
- Tony ChaCopper ContributorWill Edge ADMX GPO apply on those MS Edge which is not "Microsoft Edge For Business"?
- Steve RughBrass ContributorYes, there is only a single version of Edge that is installed on devices, and it will respect the configured Edge policies for that device. The "for Business" moniker mostly is used to refer to features/functionality that are commercial focused and isn't actually a different version of Edge.
- MaryBIron ContributorI'm not seeing the accessibility learnings question to reply to directly but Mike Thofsen from Microsoft has a great set of tips for the various accessibility tools including the ones in Edge; he has a channel of them here https://www.youtube.com/c/MikeTholfsen/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=11

Any GPO can prevent Microsoft Edge to take over the default PDF Viewer after updates? Most Government of Ontario PDF forms do not show up properly at MS Edge / Google Chrome and must be open by Adobe Acrobat Reader only!
- Chris_StensonOccasional ReaderWe currently have Google Chrome published in our Citrix Virtual Apps environment. We are interested in moving to Edge instead. Are you be able to point to any particular advantages of switching, perhaps in terms of integration with M365 generally?
- DanielRatliffBrass ContributorHere is a feature comparison I put together last year for IE11, Chrome, and Edge. No brainer to switch to Edge. https://twitter.com/PotentEngineer/status/1415038077769236488?s=20&t=X4gh21L0EymwHs0aHvv_EQ
- MaryBIron ContributorWIn 11 SV2 being Win 11 22H2
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
haha Yes. SV2 is the internal code name for version 22H2.- DanielRatliffBrass ContributorI thought he was saying SP2! lol
- Tony ChaCopper ContributorGoogle will stop supporting Chrome for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 after 7 February 2023, while Microsoft Edge on Windows 7 and on Windows Server 2008 R2 will stop support after January 15, 2023, how about Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2?
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
Windows 8.1 as an OS will stop being supported on Jan. 10, 2023. So all OS components will stop being supported. Server 2012 end support in Oct 2023.- jeddy_Iron ContributorThis is an unfortunate decision. I have had to deploy Chrome in lieu of Edge to our remaining 2012 R2 servers as they will be around for a few months after Jan 2023, and I worry about if the support date for Edge on Windows Server will also be arbitrarily cut off before the Server 2016 or Server 2019 EOL dates.
