Win11 Desktop color changes to black

Hi. I have my desktop set to a neutral gray but it will revert to black on restart. This has happened twice. Is this a possible security issue, a setting I am overlooking or a bug? It is an annoyance but my greater concern is security. Could my laptop be infected with something? Defender is on and I access the internet via a vpn. I try to be very careful but who knows, maybe I flakes out without thinking. I can run Belarc Advisor, if that would help. Any support will be greatly appreciated.

    It seems its a natural occerance in the past when there is a update, it would reset or sometimes when I was updating to a insider build, it would reset to be black.
