Notepad jumps to top of page every time I minimize the app; is there a setting to stop this?
Hello,
Just got Windows 11 with the new Notepad. Is there a way (a setting) to get Notepad to keep the cursor where I leave it when I minimize Notepad so that when I return to it I don't have to scroll to find my place?
I use it for lots of notes throughout the day and don't want to have to scroll down through pages of text every time I minimize it and then open it up. By "open" I mean click on the open program on the task bar after having minimized it to find more info to add to it.
Thanks.

- zhiqiqiuCopper ContributorThank you, it's indeed the space at the beginning of the text that's causing the problem!

Hello,
That link leads to an article stating that WordPad (not Notepad) is being discontinued. I was asking about Notepad which is a different program/"app". I pasted a screenshot of the top of a Notepad page with the Notepad icon below. This older version has been updated to Notepad++ (with a frog in the icon; screenshot also attached) in Windows 11. Notepad++ always opens at the top of the document after minimizing (not closing) the document. The older version depicted in the screenshot would always open to where I left off after minimizing it temporarily.
If there is a way to set Notepad++ to open at the cursor location after being minimized, this is what I'd like to know. Thanks.
