Making computer from hibernate without activating sleep. Fingerprint reader does not wake from sleep

I'll preface this with the reason why. I have a fingerprint reader(Kensington Verimark Desktop version 2. I believe.) that won't wake up when in pure sleep mode.

It does perfectly work in hibernation and after waking and all other situations that I can tell. I use agressive 1 minute timers one everything to keep heat down on the system for use with remote access for steamlink/chrome remote desktop. I don't know if this is a driver issue on their part of a windows issue.

If you go into sleep mode and have to wait another minute to wake up for hibernation the thumbnail reader will not power on. There is a simple solution of pressing the button for optional login and can't sign in or similar and it wakes it up. But this defeats the point of a fast waking device. and with my setup it is very annoying to wait an extra minute to wake up the system if it goes off which happens fairly frequently. Sadly I need this quick of a timer for how I use the computer.

I initially followed some google ai advice and went into power option in control panel went into advanced power settings and set sleep to never with hibernation to 1 minute and it was initially working. It has since stopped working and only puts my display to sleep.

Is there any current way to restore this functionality or to get the fingerprint reader to wake from sleep state so it's not a matter? I've tried changing the base power setting for usb and nothing has worked so far. Why does this not work. If it woke from sleep properly that would also solve all of my problems.

Update 2: It appears sleep and hibernate were not happening at all without manually pushing buttons. possibly since the latest patch.

I reset the power plan to default. I reset screen off, sleep, and hibernate to 1 minute.

Previously this would turn off the screen and start sleep at the same time at the 1 minute mark and hibernate would happen at 1 minute later for 2 minutes of wait time.

Now it turns off the screen at 1 minute, sleeps 1 minute after, hibernates another minute after that. This takes 3 minutes.

Was this behavior changed intentionally? I'm assuming there may be a bunch of glitches with whatever caused this change.

And now the edit button is showing up on my screen. I made new posts because the 3 dots were not showing up on my window to allow me to edit anything.

Update3: It is now back to sleep and screen off happening at 1 minute... The behaviors on this thing are all over the place.

Update 4: I set it back with sleep being set to never only in control panel: hardware: advanced power settings and set sleep to never.. Now it goes to hibernation instead of sleep again.. I'll do more testing to see if this works. Maybe it was broken by the update process.

Update: The last update must have messed things up. When I change and save things variables in the power setting are changing themselves all over the place. The entire power settings features are not fucntioning correctly on a core level. This needs to be fixed now!

I save at 1 mintute and it's then reopened to different numbers. The entire settings functions are now filled with glitches.
