Windows Hello for Business

Hi,

We have a domain environment and have recently set up new computers in our IT group.  We are getting an error stating that the option is temporarily unavailable when trying to sign into Windows Hello for Business with the new machines.  The old machines have no trouble signing into Windows Hello for Business.  The computers and users are in the correct OU to allow for Windows Hello for Business.

  • Hello,

    Try these steps:

    Open Registry Editor.
    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.
    Set AllowDomainPINLogon to 1.
Close Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Let us know if this helps!

      Hi Kapil.

I just looked at that setting - it is already set to 1. On a separate note, we believe that this seems just to be happening with our privileged domain user accounts if that is any additional help.

      Thanks,

      Jared
