  • Adding to my previous point: Since this started immediately after your BIOS update, please check these two settings before you try re-installing:

Secure Boot / TPM: BIOS updates often toggle 'Secure Boot' or 'TPM' back to default settings. If your original Windows installation (or your current boot stick) expects these to be in a specific state (Enabled vs. Disabled), the installer will throw a 'file not found' error because it can't verify the boot integrity.

SATA/NVMe Mode: BIOS updates are notorious for switching the storage controller mode from AHCI to RAID/Intel RST (or vice versa). If your Windows installer doesn't have the specific driver for the 'RAID' mode the BIOS is now enforcing, it will fail to see the files on the drive or the drive itself, resulting in that error.

How to verify: Go into your BIOS (usually F2 or Del at startup), look for 'Storage Configuration' or 'SATA Mode', and make sure it matches what you had before. If you aren't sure, try toggling it from RAID to AHCI—it's the most common culprit for 'file access' errors after a BIOS flash.

  • Hi Enzoip, I know how frustrating installation loops can be, but that specific error code (0x80070570 / 0x80070003) almost always points to a corrupted installation media, not a hardware or BIOS failure.

Since you just updated your BIOS, your hardware is likely fine. Here is how to fix it:

Re-create the USB: The installation files on your current USB stick are likely corrupted. Don't just copy-paste the files; use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to format and create a fresh bootable USB drive from scratch.

Try a different USB port: If you are using a USB 3.0 (blue) port, try plugging the stick into a USB 2.0 (black) port if your motherboard has one. Sometimes legacy Windows 10 installers struggle with 3.0 drivers during the initial boot.

Check BIOS SATA mode: Ensure your BIOS is set to AHCI mode, not 'RAID' or 'IDE,' as this can cause the installer to fail when it tries to find the drive during the 'copying files' phase.

Try the fresh USB creation first—90% of the time, this clears the error immediately.

Error 0x80070570 usually happens because of corrupted installation files, faulty USB media, or RAM/storage issues. I’d first recommend recreating the Windows 10 bootable USB using the official Microsoft Media Creation Tool and trying a different USB port. Also, run a quick RAM check and make sure the SSD/HDD doesn’t have bad sectors. In many cases, the issue gets fixed after rebuilding the installation media properly.

You sure you have the right specs? Anyway, try reinstalling the installer software on your USB. Good luck, you'll need it.

If your PC can boot into recovery mode: Force shutdown 3 times during startup to trigger Automatic Repair. From there, go to Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Reset this PC or Command Prompt.
