Re: Conditional Formatting Ranges Increasing on Data Refresh
Would you like to check the paste action, perhaps the system interprets it as an insert column action? I am no VBA expert but the only explanation for this 'anomaly' is that the paste as values action inserts a column first, which would inevitably expand the conditional formatting range. Can you share the code in part or whole?3.6KViews0likes2CommentsSUMMARIZE function
I think it would be a great idea to leverage on the spill property of excel functions to create a new function that creates table instead of an array of single data type. I think this should be introduced to Excel just as we have for DAX. That would be a great addition to Excel, although it might reduce the use of Pivot tables significantly.642Views0likes0CommentsRe: Can Excel link with Adobe doc
cris_no_h I'd suggest you create a folder where you can save all the PDFs as they come. Import the folder into excel with Power Query and after some cleaning, you would have combined all the files into a single Excel Table. The best part is that the next month, you don't have to go through all that rigour again. Just refresh the table and it appends the most recent PDFs into your Excel table. ameenac This is what I propose: You will retain your initial 'gold standard' composition. The orange cells are your input cells and the grey cells are you output. In this case it uses proportions of the totals from the input and original composition to estimate the output. Let me know if this works for you.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to add an asterisk in front of a, b, c, d?
kevingmc I used the find and replace showed below and it worked for some and not others as you mentioned. The reason is that some of the options are autoformatted as lists while some lists were created by you. The manually created lists will work while the auto-completed lists will not work. You will notice below that Question 2's options are autoformatted while that of Question 3. is not. Try to create the answer lists manually. Unfortunately, that's almost like manually adding the asterisks throughout the document.6.3KViews1like1Comment
