Re: Sharepoint List Edit Form Conditional Formatting for Yes/No field
Thank you for your response. I was unable to make it work with my column as it was. I tested on a Test Sharepoint list that I have and confirmed it was the name of my column causing me trouble. So I ended up creating a new Yes/No column that the naming did not have the x0020 between the words and now it is working fine. Thanks again!36KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Sharepoint List Edit Form Conditional Formatting for Yes/No field
Joe Ayre Good morning, Did you test on a Yes/No type column? I have been able to do it with everything but this type. I even created a test Choice column with yes no as the selections and it worked that way but I would prefer not to have to change my column just for this. I did double check my name on the couple of fields I am trying this for and that does not seem to be the issue. Here are some screenshots. First is the Field name and second is the formula I used. No matter what value is in the Worked in Sprint column (yes or no) the field does not appear. Thoughts?35KViews0likes1CommentSharepoint List Edit Form Conditional Formatting for Yes/No field
Hi, I have been able to successfully add conditional formatting to my columns in my Edit form based on the Microsoft link below. However, I can't get it to work for a Yes/No column. I have used their example but the field always is hidden no matter what the value is. I have tried true and false and in all CAPS as when I export my data that is how it appears but no success. Has anyone been able to successfully use conditional formatting on a yes/no field in their list? I would love to know the trick to make my form more user friendly 🙂 Thanks everyone for your help. =if([$Category]==true,'true', 'false') https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/list-form-conditional-show...Solved36KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Sharepoint List of Views is no longer alphabetical in Modern Experience
joannalynneEven more interesting. I didnt realize there was a connection with different browsers. I ultimately spoke too soon as I thought I was fixed however I really am not. It appears to be glitchy. Sometimes when I open in Chrome one of my lists is in alpha order. I open the same list in another tab in Chrome during the same session and it is not. I just tried IE on this same list and it was ok. From within Teams it was fine when I responded before and now it is not. And it is not even consistent across all of the lists I manage. So still broken and frustrating darn 😞9.1KViews1like0CommentsConditional formula to hide/show columns in Sharepoint List Edit Form
Hi, I was able to create a formula based on this posting from Microsoft (link below) and it works great. However, I want to be able to write it so it looks at 2 different values in a field to show the column or not in the Edit Form. Can someone help me write the formula so that I can have an OR.....like in the example below I would like to have it work if "Category" equals Product OR Service. =if([$Category]=='Product','true', 'false') https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/list-form-conditional-show-hide I did see someone say that this could be used as the indicator for or || but I wrote the formula lots of ways and never could get it to work. Just recently something changed and now all of my Views that I have established for my Sharepoint List are no longer showing in alphabetical order. If I switch my list over to Classic experience they are in alphabetical order still. See screenshots below. Is there a settings area in the Modern Experience that I havent found yet that I could manually arrange my List Views so that the end users can find their view easily? I have a good amount of views for all different purposes and we need to get it alphabetized again. Help! Hi, Recently I have noticed that calculated columns are now appearing in my Edit form.......not the New form, when using the New Experience view for my Sharepoint Online List The Classic view does not show these fields. Not sure why Microsoft changed this so I tried to fix it myself. However, when I went to the field in Content Type the selection for "Hidden (Will not appear in forms) is grayed out and you are unable to change. This is the same behavior in older Sharepoint so it didnt surprise me but how do I get these fields out of my Edit form now? We need the ability to have them there or not just like any other fields.Solved7.9KViews0likes3Comments
