Re: Editor in Microsoft 365 Word app is not working correctly
connie_pax When you say "malfunctioning" can you elaborate a bit? Is it working at all? Working inconsistently or incorrectly? Are you getting any error messages? Are you using the Windows version of Word or the browser version?2.8KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Prevent specific user from accessing sharepoint document libraries (also in Office applications)
Did you already review this article? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/customize-permissions-for-a-sharepoint-list-or-library-02d770f3-59eb-4910-a608-5f84cc297782#:~:text=View%20the%20Permissions%20page%20in%20SharePoint%201%20Go,Permissions%20for%20this%20document%20library.%20Top%20of%20Page2KViews0likes1CommentRe: Manage automatic creation of direct reports group
It would be a normal group creation process, though if you happen to have an existing distribution list that has the correct membership you might be able to migrate it. See this article: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Migrate-distribution-lists-to-Office-365-Groups-Admin-help-787d7a75-e201-46f3-a242-f698162ff09f7.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Manage automatic creation of direct reports group

I don't see any direct report groups created for any users so is it something that is coming or not working because we have too many users? It's being rolled out to a very limited number of customers currently and not to any with more than 50,000 mailboxes.7.8KViews1like2CommentsRe: Manage automatic creation of direct reports group
For Scenario 1 - A new group shouldn't be created because an existing group already exists (even though the name is different). For Scenario 2 - I'd probably recommend disabling auto creation of groups for that company and letting them continue to manage groups manually. For Scenario 3 - When Bill takes over as manager of John's group he should be added to the group as the owner (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Assign-a-new-owner-to-an-orphaned-group-86bb3db6-8857-45d1-95c8-f6d540e45732) and the system shouldn't create a new group for him. By the way - Bill, as the new owner, can also change the display name of the group if he likes so that it would now say "Bill's Direct Reports" (or whatever he likes) instead of "John's..." Hope that helps!22KViews1like1Comment
