Video for All Participants Disabled
My boss would like to have all participants in meeting with disabled video? The people outside our org are showing up with video. His statement: "I don't want to see any faces and don't want anybody else to see any faces. None of our meeting should have any video capabilities activated and all should default to no video permitted." In our Global (Org-wide default) I turned off 'Allow Cloud Recording' and 'Allow IP Recording'. Is this possible?Solved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Automatically Log In After Restart - How?
Nagorg-TerralogicThanks for reply. I am using Azure Function Apps for some things. It is easy to write a C# function. I have a requirement to produce a PDF report that has a few graphs, tables and pivot tables. I email it to clients. I'm currently using an Excel addin. I've looked for alternate ways to do it but so far they all fall short. I looked at PowerBI but it seemed to fall short as well. I'll probably look at it again. I did find a solution to logging in. It seems to work.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsTsk Scheduler Operation
I use Task Scheduler to run tasks during the day. It works perfectly if I'm logged in. About every 3-4 weeks I get logged out. I suspect there is some update to Windows causing this. I tried to set it to run if it is not logged in and it doesn't work. Task doesn't run with 'Run whether is logged on or not'. I supplied password. Does anyone know how to fix this. The other option is to automatically log in to Windows after being logged out. The whole reason for WVD is to reliably run these tasks without interruption.995Views0likes1CommentUnderstanding WVD Usage
I'm trying understand usage hours on WVD. I setup WVD a months ago and just started using it. Let me explain what I'm doing. I work part time as IT support for a small legal firm. He produces a lot of legal financial documents. I created an Excel addin that uses Azure SQL DB and produces reports that include graphs, pivottable and tables. It emails PDFs to my boss and clients. It also emails clients on document progress and key calendar events as .ICS files. I use Task Scheduler to trigger events. It consumes about 10 minutes of compute time daily. I was running it on my desktop during development. It was not 100% reliable due to power outages, internet outages and unplanned restarts. WVD proved to be a perfect solution. After WVD setup I'm on Remote Desktop Client less than an hour a week and use about 10-15 minutes of background processing a day. How much am I using it ? ThanksSolved2KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Step by Step Guide to Setup a Virtual Desktop
evasseThank you for reply. I followed instructions and tried to create WVD. I got a failure and I'm not sure what the issue. I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion: "Conflict", "statusMessage": { "status": "Failed", "error": { "code": "ResourceDeploymentFailure", "message": "The resource operation completed with terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.", "details": [ { "code": "VMExtensionProvisioningError", "message": "VM has reported a failure when processing extension 'joindomain'. Error message: \"Exception(s) occured while joining Domain 'goldsmithpllc.com'\"." } ] } },2.8KViews0likes0CommentsStep by Step Guide to Setup a Virtual Desktop
I want to setup a Virtual Windows Desktop. I have an Microsoft 365 Business and Azure account. This is for a single user. I see some preview setup instructions but no production step-by-step instructions. Is there a simple step-by-step by guide/tutorial or youtube video that covers this? I'm also confuse on pricing. I tried to use pricing calculator for a single user but it would only allow 100 users.2.9KViews0likes4Comments
