Office 365 group expiration email: spamming owners
Tried out the Office 365 group expiration function the other day. Good thing I only turned it on for a few selected groups, cos the owners of those got hudreds of emails telling them to renew. One of them counted as much as 450 emails for one group! I cannot imagine this as normal behaviour - in which case the function is gonna be the most hated thing if turned on for all... Any idea what is wrong with this?Solved1.2KViews0likes3CommentsIdentifying stale guest users - 'lastSignInDateTime' not reliable?
So, I listed all of our tenant guest users 'lastSignInDateTime' attribute from MS Graph. Most have up to date values here, but some got no info here (I guess its because they were never logged on), and some got the value '01.01.0001 00:00:00' ...which I guess also means they were never logged on? But I have one confirmed active user with the '01.01.0001 00:00:00' value. Which makes me doubt if i can use these dates to delete inactive guest users? (This user is participating in team discussions, but his AAD sign-in log is also empty).Solved2.2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Office 365 group expiration email: spamming owners
did a straight forward setup of this using the groups expiration function in Azure AD. Not many options here... selected group lifetime 180 days, my email adress for contact of groups with no owner, and selected 4 groups this should apply to. Will look into mailflow1.1KViews1like1Comment
