Re: Hide bar at top of teams sharing
Just sharing with everyone this, which I think would finally addresses this issue 🙂 M365 Changelog: Microsoft Teams: Draggable Presenter Toolbar when screensharing: https://petri.com/microsoft-changelog/m365-changelog-microsoft-teams-draggable-presenter-toolbar-when-screensharing/ Happy Friday!7.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Use AD Synced Group for Teams Membership
Hi VasilMichev and Kyuma90 have you by any chance noticed this behaviour being different on the New Teams? We've noticed instances where classic teams is detecting an AD group (you start typing and it comes up as an option to select), but then new teams does not seem to be detecting the same AD group (you start typing and it says "we couldn't find any matches").3.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Outlook no longer checking access to links
One of our users reported the same issue today also. Seems to be an isolated case for us though; not everyone has been experiencing it. Has anyone been able to isolate the cause? We've tried both new outlook and classic outlook. We've also tried on these two new outlook versions (Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.111.100 (Production), Client Version is 20240112004.11 and Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.103.100 (Production) Client Version is 20240112004.12) but so far it looks like the issue is happening to one user vs to a specific client version.6.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
AFK05 same with us, we were having issues (it was with everyone and not isolated cases) with the status of the new Teams when it first came out, but seems like Microsoft has addressed it. It's been okay for us since. We didn't need to do anything on our end. So you might want to get in touch with Microsoft if you're still experiencing issues...? 🙂6.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
Very interesting that a lot of you are still experiencing issues - we seem to be okay now. The status seems to be behaving and updating after calls/meetings/etc. We didn't do anything on our end to fix it. We didn't change anything, so just assumed Microsoft has sorted it out. We are not on Preimum though, though I don't think that should make a difference as I'd imagine the client would still be the same...? This is our current client version: Microsoft Teams version 23285.3607.2525.937. Client version is 49/23101227712.9.7KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
DaveTheTeamsGuy I'm on 23285.3604.2469.4152 right now. I've been I a few meetings and calls today and so far the status has been behaving. We've requested our pilot group to all be on the lookout, and so far no more reports of status acting up.4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
As a general update - had a call with MS today and it looks like they have resolved the issue. The call was really more for them to confirm from us that it’s okay now…we didn’t do or change anything. We did a few quick tests and so far so good! We’re keeping the ticket open for a few weeks for monitoring, but overall all whatever MS did is looking promising for us 🙂4.4KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
Eric_H we’ve noticed a few things with the calling too. From what we’ve been testing it looks to be with things like the new Teams (1) dropping the + in front of the country code, (2) adding an extra +country code to the already present +country code, (3) when calling a contact created through the new Teams the new contact is created with two phone numbers, and calling the contact calls both numbers… these are all just speculation though but we have been able to identify how to replicate the three scenarios above.4.3KViews1like0CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
DaveTheTeamsGuy interesting point about the web client seeming to be unaffected. I haven’t actually tried the web much - I might start trying that. There seem to be a few things (not just Teams) that the web client can do but the desktop app can’t. I almost feel like there is a push towards web client-is there?4.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
Darksabre No resolution on the ticket we logged either, just a lot of questions to which we've reiterated that it's affecting everyone and that it started and is affecting only the New Teams. Luckily for us we started deploying with only a pilot group and so is manageable. We're holding off on deploying it organisation-wide.9.5KViews1like9CommentsStatus does not update (New Teams)
Hi, We've been testing the new Teams before we roll it out more widely. We have noticed that your status does not update consistently with the new Teams, as in, here is one scenario as an example I'm showing as available and somebody calls me (working well at this point) I pick up the call and when I do I show as busy (still all going well) I present during the call and the status changes to do not disturb (so far so good still) I end the call, but my status stays as do not disturb indefinitely until I click on reset status. (this is the behaviour that didn't used to happen in classic Teams) All throughout the above I did not manually change my status; it was just updating automatically as my activity changed, but did not update in the end when my call ended. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Andrea128KViews12likes99CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
To add to add a bit more information, and to confirm it’s definitely the New Teams, I have Teams on my mobile device (iphone) and have notifications turned on. After taking a call on my laptop, I didn’t notice my status stayed as “do not disturb” (I already know this could happen right, but I still forget to update status after each call/meeting! and you really shouldn’t need to anyway, hence this post, but back to story….) I only realised my status was still “do not disturb” because a Teams call rang on my phone but not in my laptop. So yeah, still trying not successful at finding an org-wide solution 😞 starting to give in to the idea that maybe there is nothing we as an organisation can do, and only Microsoft can come to the rescue11KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Status does not update (New Teams)
We’re in the same boat of trying to find an organisation-wide solution rather than individual solution 🙂 but I guess some solution rather than none is also better…might hold off a bit on deploying. Maybe Microsoft will resolve it soon and then it’s not a problem anymore *fingers crossed*87KViews2likes0Comments
