Re: Teams Mobile - Screen Sharing error only on Android Pixel Phones
We heard back from Microsoft Support. They found no fault in the Teams app on their side and have suggested the we submit an issue to Google Pixel support since this is specific to only certain Google devices. We have opened the ticket with Google and are waiting for a response.2.2KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Teams Mobile - Screen Sharing error only on Android Pixel Phones
Thanks James. I don't feel alone with this problem now. I haven't been able to fix this yet. We have a ticket open with Microsoft support and we are sending them some logs and additional information. I'll keep you updated on the progress and if we find a solution.2.6KViews0likes2CommentsTeams Mobile - Screen Sharing error only on Android Pixel Phones
Today we noticed that when in a Teams meeting on a Google Pixel phone running the latest Android 14 OS, we are unable to use the Screen Share option in a meeting. The error message "Action Blocked. This action is not allowed by your organization." pops up after choosing to screen sharing. Those with this issue are able to share individual pictures, just not cast their entire screen to Teams. This led me to believe that one of our application protection policies was blocking this feature from working, but there is no such setting to enable. The closest one is related to screen capture and I have that allowed. Those with Samsung Android phones with the latest Android OS 14 are successfully able to Screen Share, so its not any policy we have related to android phones. iPhones are also successfully able to screen share from Teams without any issues. I did also check our global policy settings for meeting and content sharing is allowed. Content sharing is also allowed for the specific meeting we tested in. If anyone else has a Google Pixel phone with the latest version of android on it, please let me know if you are experiencing the same problems with sharing your screen in a Teams Meeting.2.9KViews4likes9CommentsRe: OneNote error 30108 in Teams
I ended up opening a Service Request ticket in our M365 portal. After working with a Microsoft support engineer on the issue, collecting logs, screenshots, and recordings of the behavior, this morning the issue is resolved. I am waiting to hear back from the support agent on what the fix was from their side. I will update this thread when I have more info. Update: I received the official resolution from the Microsoft Agent. "the issue was just a one off (more like a glitch in some tenants) , This support line is a break and fix team and do not provide Root Cause Analysis on issues."3.1KViews1like1CommentRe: OneNote error 30108 in Teams
Therese_Solimeno Thanks for the replay. Yes, I did also find some similar post from others (not all exactly the same). https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/add-a-tab-with-ms-onenote-error-code-30108/22c1640e-663d-4f2a-be55-68d6339e5f3c and https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-apps-for/onenote-tab-in-teams-error-response-onedrive-for-business-for/m-p/2653563 One thread did say it resolved "magically", back in Aug of 2021. The other points to OneDrive not being setup for a user. I can confirm my OneDrive, as well as others, have been setup and working for a while. I did follow the step suggested in one post anyhow and logged into my OneDrive drive from the web app, and then to my OneNote from the WebApp. When I try to create a new Notebook in OneNote, I get a message that my OneDrive is not set up. "Your OneDrive is not set up Before you can use OneNote, first you need to go set up your OneDrive." I clearly have OneDrive setup and even other OneNote Notebooks saved to OneDrive already. It would be great if it resolved itself on its own, but that's not a great answer to give my customers. Update: Just wanted to add, other Web Apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint have not issues saving new documents to OneDrive.3.3KViews1like2CommentsOneNote error 30108 in Teams
For the past few days, users in our environment have been reporting an issue accessing or adding a OneNote tab in Teams channels, or opening their personal OneNote notebook within Teams. They receive the following error message: "Sorry, we had trouble getting your notebooks. Error Response: OneDrive for Business for this user account cannot be retrieved. Error Code: 30108" I can recreate the error with my own account, and it appears to be tenant wide. Even our DEV tenant gives the same error when trying to add a OneNote tab. This occurs in both the Teams Desktop App and Web App. We are a GCC Tenant, and do have OneDrive setup for all our users. The work around I have been having user do is going to their files tab in teams and opening the notebook directly from their OneDrive. Any help is appreciated. Re: Hyper-V missing Packaging Tool Enviroment
I found a workaround by going to my %localappdata%\temp\ folder Finding the .zip file hyper-v downloaded I then extracted the .vhdx file from it and used that to create the MSIX packaging environment VM hopefully this gets fixed again soon. Thanks3.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Hyper-V missing Packaging Tool Enviroment
Roy_MacLachlan I had the same issue. "Windows 10 MSIX packaging environment" does appear now, however when trying to create the VM, I now get an error. "The downloaded image did not contain valid installation media." The error pops up right after the downloading and verifying image progress bar. The download looks like the latest from April 26th.3.6KViews0likes3Comments
