Surface Hub 2S Teams Mode 1 - Teams Only

All,

We have recently received our Surface Hub 2S.

Our environment is currently in the transition from Lync2013 to Teams and from Exchange Onprem to Online. For both we have a fully operational hybrid environment.

I have installed the Teams App on the Hub and deployed Teams Mode 1 via a USB stick.

An account has been created for the device and has the mode "Teams Only"

Now when I call from the Surface hub to a Lync2013 user it works, as well as the other way around.

A scheduled Teams meeting works as well, but I can NOT join a Lync meeting organised by a Lync user.

Any ideas?

      Hi Cezar,

      Thanks for the reply.

My description might be a bit confusing indeed.

We have TeamsMode1 deployed as we have most of our users still using Lync2013 and we want the Surface Hub to be able to join these meetings.

From what I understand, if we deploy TeamsMode2 this will not work?

That is correct, TeamsMode2 disables Skype for Business client and forces the Teams client onto the device.
Since you confirmed TeamsMode1 is actually installed, I see no reason why this shouldn't work as Teams is signed in (you mentioned calls are working). Kindly open a Support Request here to troubleshoot this further.

        Thank you,

        Cezar
