It's the control that's limited and doesn't have a setting that I'm aware of. Have the user upload the document to a library on the site first which should have like 100GB or so Limit, then use the library/document options to navigate and select the files to link to it instead. If uploading the document with quick links it kind of goes into a temp location and it's just limited there.
