open previous version of word doc in word online
I want to open a previous version (ie not the current version) of a document in the online browser. Currently I can only download previous versions which I need to avoid doing. So if I have Word document versions 1.0 and 1.1 of a document I want to open 1.0 in the online version of Word. Any ideas? thanks very much

You just need to Right-click on file > Version History > select previous version > Restore.
(Restore create a new version on top of the current version
Another solution: you can select View to see if the file is correct or not.
- Unfortunately Office Online does not provide the ability to open previous versions of an Office file
