Document name icon? What is this?
- These are recently created documents. Recent is created in the last 2 days
What about the new share icon that's suddenly appearing to the left of the stacked ellipsis? I haven't been able to find any notes about it. It feels like this isn't functioning properly yet. If you mouse over a file name the icon appears, but if you click the new share icon, it simply launches the file. If you right-click on the icon, it opens the document menu options. If you click to select the document row and then click on the new inline share icon, it opens the Send Link dialog box and launches the document ???
Laurie Gonyea, I don't think that these are for sharing. In lists they seems to be giving you the share option, but for documents they are opening documents in preview. Hmm, it looks like these are the 'do something random' icons.
Pieter Veenstra The icon is just like the Share icon in the Action bar. So logic would assume it's an inline Share shortcut icon intended to support the Sharing of the file. But it seems like the functionality is not working properly yet since it's launching the file or presenting the ellipsis document menu.
