I've recently inherited a SharePoint online project, which was put together 2-3 years ago. I've recreated the original implementation in a new Modern Communication Site.
I've noticed that the original SharePoint loads when you go to tenant.sharepoint.com, but to get to the new Site I need to go to tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/new-site.
Is there a way I can change this so that the new site is loaded when someone visits the tenant.sharepoint.com url? I'm happy to remove/delete the old sites if that's an option.

Solution
Yes there is a way to do it, you can replace the root site with another site -
