Cannot add Approval Status (_ModerationStatus) to Document Library

In my test Document Library I cannot seem to to add the Approval Status (_ModerationStatus) column

It is not there when I click on Show/Hide.

I initially thought the Status column was then probably a renamed version, but that one was created by myself since I can edit it:

I had a look at the Library settings but I couldn't add the Approval Status:

Does anybody know how I can add the standard Approval Status to my library?

Solution

@DJanssen24 Did you enable the approval settings on your document library?

Try this:

  1. Go to your document library
  2. Click on Settings (gear) icon from top right corner and click on Library settings
  3. Click on More library settings link from right side panel
  4. Click on Versioning settings link from document library settings page
  5. Set Require content approval to Yes and click OKganeshsanap_0-1702904683015.png
  6. It will automatically add Approval Status column to your document library. If not, you can try to follow same steps using "Show or hide columns" setting to add column in library view after enabling "Require content approval" feature on library.
