Tasks are not visible while trying to link to risks MS Project

Copper Contributor

I created a project with different tasks, as you can see in the SS.

After that I created a risk. You can see the risk in the second SS. When I tried to link the risk to a task, no task where found.

I just tried the MS guide: Hinzufügen eines Risikos zu einem Projekt in Project Online - Microsoft-Support

I hope someone could help me thanks

Did you publish your schedule and verify the sharepoint site is connected in PWA? Also, I highly recommend Dale Howard MVP's video on how to do the Risk Management in your schedule to see true impacts within your schedule then you can use your SharePoint/Project Sites for the high level rollup of the Issues and Risks. Here's link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpwOJIoYzQg&t=6s

Hello @PrzywaraL ,

Do you sync the tasks to the Project Site? It is this setting on the Enterprise Project Type/s in PWA Settings:

i already published my schedule and its also connected. I can see it in my Project Center

Thank you, The inactive Task feature, is a good help, but can I also connected it then to the risks?

@Paul_Mather

Hello @PrzywaraL ,

Since making the sync tasks to Project site feature active, have you republished the projects? They will not appear in the Task lists on the Project Sites until the project/s have been published again.

Paul

Thank you, now it works!

To answer your question, I believe that a task must be Active so that it can be connected to a Risk. Hope this helps.
@Dale
Yes, it has to be active, thank you. Do you have some tips, how to use the risk feature? I saw your Video with the inactive task. This is a good way to plan the project with risks, but then i dont need the risk feature right?
