Project for the Web export to excel only columns in Grid view
When using the 'Export to Excel' feature it exports all columns. Is it possible to export only what is visible in the grid view? Or can I feature request a checkbox system for exports.
Thanks.
(Edit: Title 'Project Online' to 'Project for the Web')
rautchetan27 it's happening because by default Get items only returns the first 100 items. You need to go to the Settings (3 dots at the top right) for the Get items, turn on the pagination toggle and change it to something like 2000.

My apologies, new to both. I was referring to Project for the web. Thanks for the replies to both.
I'll have to dive into Project Online it sounds like, as Project for the Web seems like a glorified to do list so far. I hope to see a lot of development for Project for the Web, the modern interface is looking good.

phcma - Is it possible to automate the download to excel? I have been trying to perform the function through power apps, but I keep running into the issue that none of my custom columns are available in the dataverse.

From your description, it sounds like you are using Project for the Web and NOT Project Online as you state in the title of your question. Assuming that you are using Project for the Web, then the answer to your question is no. It is not possible to export only what is displayed in the Grid view. The Export to Excel automatically exports all standard columns, plus any custom columns you have created. If there are columns you do not want to see in the resulting Excel worksheet, simply delete them. Hope this helps. Hello phcma,
Which page are you referring to in Project Online? The export to Excel does only include the columns in the view - certainly from the Project Center.
