OneDrive Sync to specific domains

We have the "Allow syncing only on PCs joined to specific domains" turned on and have the GUID of our premise domain added...works great. However, we have a segment of devices that are not premise domain joined, but are Azure AD domain joined and managed solely via Intune.  The sync client does not work on these devices. I've tried adding the GUID from our Azure AD Admin portal, but that didn't work. How can I get the sync client to work for these devices?

I’m quite sure this won’t work! It’s for active directory joined computers..
If so, you would have to use other features like conditional access to restrict/ secure apps

Thank Adam. Do you mean use conditional access along with the specific domain setting or conditional access only and not using specific domain only?
