Office 365 E3 EEA and Teams Essentials

Is it compliant to buy 400 * Office 365 E3 EEA seats and combine it with 300 * Teams Essentials seats and 100 * Teams EEA seats, so you have two different Teams licenses for the E3 EEA license?

 

 

• Teams EEA has no seat limitation.
• Teams Essentials is restricted to 300 licenses, since Teams Essentials is included in the list of SMB business" offers per my reply to your previous question about seat limits  - Business Licenses - Microsoft Community Hub :

Please note that you can verify that a product will be subject to a maximum of 300 licenses by using the Offer Matrix. Find the Offer Matrix in Partner Center by navigating to the Price lists page in the Pricing section.

 

 

Also, are you able to upgrade Teams Essentials to Teams EEA?

Generally, Step-up licenses enable an EA customer to move from a lower license to a higher one at any time. However, EEA may be different. 

To be certain, as a Partner, you can use the transition eligibility API call to show a customer’s upgrade paths. New subscription structure for Microsoft 365 in Europe
