Anyone know of July 11 2023 changes relative to Legacy CSP ?
I was on a call with a large CSP distributor yesterday and they mentioned something coming out from Microsoft relative to Legacy CSP for commercial customers but had no specifics. Does anyone here know what might be coming on July 11th?
Thanks
Mark

Hi MBenton,
This is also discussed here:

and was answered accordingly also with the following announcement:

thanks for the conversation as I read two different articles, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/announcements/2023-july#next-steps-in-csp-new-commerce-commercial-legacy-seat-based-subscription-migration-and-introduction-of-public-sector-offers and then this announcement in June https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/announcements/2023-june#license-based-legacy-commercial-offers-to-be-deprecated-july-2023
I am a bit confused and I appreciate your assistance here.
One of my customers' Legacy Microsoft 365 E3 subscriptions is renewing in September. Would the customer be able to renew their Legacy subscription or they have to convert into NCE?

- Steve_Leach1Copper ContributorMark, I was chasing the same question earlier. I have had several customers asking about a forced Legacy to NCE coming in July.
There was an old announcement last year that July11th 2022 was going to be the date where no longer could you renew a legacy terms contract, but that was extended indefinitely per the answers I was given. There is a also a rumor flying around that finally the 3 yr term pricing was going to be released, but can't find any announcement in partner center related to that either.
June is always rumor time in my experience and sometimes there is truth and others its speculation that gets started and spreads.
Maybe get with your CSP Distributor and ask what they referenced and let us know here?- LicensingConcierge1Former Employee
Please log into Partner Center and find the June 2023 announcements, then find the topic "License-based legacy commercial offers to be deprecated July 2023"

Hi MBenton
That's a pretty broad question. In order to assist, I'd need more information on the subject matter. This sounds similar to a question that was recently asked - Legacy contract terms going away at renewal? - Microsoft Community Hub
I'd also need to know what legacy licenses were purchased under CSP?
As a friendly reminder, Partner Announcements are available in Partner Center.
