Your link points to a tab that no longer exists

Iron Contributor

I am the one and only admin for the tenant, I created the Team, I've been owner/member since day one. The Team has a Tab running a Power App. It's worked great for two years. Today I can't see it. Users are having no problem. Someone sent me a link to the tab but when I click on it, I get message below.Snipaste_2023-11-27_13-02-45.png

I can run the Power App separately with no problem, I just can't see it in the Team. I have tried this on two of my computers, both in the Windows Teams client and in Teams for web. Same thing.

Any ideas?

Hello,
When you say "Users are having no problem" is that you only have this issue trying to open the Tab?
The tab does not even appear in the Team channel. Other tabs in the channel appear as normal.

The In Out Board tab displays and works fine for 25 users.

But the tab is missing to me.

This issue just started today. It's been working fine for me for 2 years.

Bing AI gave me instructions on how to restore the tab, but they don't match by step 3.

If you are the owner of the tab, you can restore it by following these steps:

  1. Click on the  icon next to the channel name and select Manage team.
  2. Click on the Apps tab and select the app that contains the tab.
  3. Click on the Settings icon next to the tab and select Configure.
  4. In the Content URL field, enter the URL of the tab.
  5. Click Save.
To troubleshoot this I would:
1. Check Teams in a web browser and see if I could see this tab or not (since others are seeing it).
2. Clear the cache in the Teams client.

If you can see it in the web browser then you definitely have a caching issue with your client application. If that doesn't work, do you have a second owner who could remove the tab and then re-add it? See if that works.
Yeap, try Teams Web as Karen recommends and compare

As I stated in my original post, I have already tried it in Teams Web. Same issue; the tab is not showing.

Great Ceasar's ghost! As of this morning, the tab has reappeared for me. What the hay! Gremlins.
Thanks, everyone for your input.
Glad to hear

any idea how?  Wondering if its being blocked by IT Admin, or just not possible from MSFT yet.

I'm experiencing the same issue when searching for and adding the Workflows app to a Teams Channel (at the top) - I prefer to build power automate flows in the team channel, using the team Forms and Sharepoint rather than building them under my own org account.

Further, when building from the Form trigger:  "when a new response is submitted",  I cannot even see the Form Name on the Teams Channel included in the drop down menu to select it for the trigger step.    I have to manually copy the web URL "ID" and use that as a work around.

That said, I'm not sure MSFT allows for a flow build in "Teams Channel" setting and  probably just creates the new workflow from my org account - super frustrating if ture.
