You're not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization login error

Hello, 

I am looking for some assistance. I am attempting to use the Microsoft Team App through my Apple MacBook, but I keep getting the following error message "You're not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization."

To clarify I am on Teams, I have registered, and I DID NOT get the intro email that some say will by-pass this issues. 

Using the browser option (which I had to download Chrome for) does not provide access to a lot of the features. I need to use the App. I did select for Family/Friends purposes and I am unsure if this is why I am getting the issue. 

I am trying to set up a Virtual Baby Shower and this is my far the most frustrating thing around.

If you can access teams by the web app ok with your account but not the full app, then I recommend you try clearing your Teams cache as per the best response shown in this artcle - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_other-mso_mac-mso_2019/multiple-teams-is...
