How i can remove guest account from MS teams desktop App

I have the same issue. I can't leave an organization to which I added my private account earlier for testing reasons. Just yesterday I found out, that the organization is still linked because cleared cached data of the mobile app of teams and the guest account was suggested for login. I have left the organisation about 3 1/2 years ago and therfore have no access anymore to the account from which I had initiated the tests and added my private account.
It is ridiculous that the guest account remains connected even though the only contacted 'real' organisation account has been deleted. It really should be possible to cancel/clear such a connection later on from the personal account and not just as administrator from the tenant side.
By the way: When I logged in at teams.microsoft.com with the guest account I needed to activate MFA. Now, when I login again, I first have to enter the MFA code for the personal account and then the one for the guest account. That behaviour alone shows that there is a developement design flaw.- bugggCopper Contributor
i had a similar problem.
first try to delete your guest account over myapps.microsoft.com -> Organisation (right corner) -> manage organisation -> leave
otherwise--->
note from microsoft support:
Kindly log in on http://portal.azure.com (with personal account)> users > Under principal name > get the admin account. Then, on azure portal page > search the active directory > manage tenant > check the box besides org name > then delete.
if you can not delete try this if you have some admin rights:
To completely delete your organization account, kindly log in on http://admin.microsoft.com using admin account >On the left pane > click the Billing > your subs > then click the ellipsis besides subscription > then click Cancel.

Amardeep1001 , not sure if that's you case exactly, but if you cannot remove a guest user from a group where you are the owner, then you could try doing that from the mobile phone (that was the only way it worked for me, not having an Azure admin account, but as the owner of the group)
- Doug PunchakBrass ContributorBut what if I don't want to remove myself from the organization, I just want to remove the account from Teams? I have 5 different client logins in the dropdown that I want to remove all but 1. I may do work for them in the future, but for now, I want to clean it up. Is this not possible?
- RobJBowIron ContributorThis seems like bad design for sure, why not let me go to my Manage Account IN TEAMS and remove the account, just like I add one. Recently my guest account has been inhibiting other services, such as the integration with Outlook. No easy way to remove a second account from the Client...

- Go to https://myapps.microsoft.com/
- Click on the Name icon on Top-right, then click on the 3 dots and click on Leave new experience.
- On the reloaded to page, click on the Picture or icon and then click the Cog.
- Click on Leave Organization next to the one that's listed as Guest in Teams.

I did leave the organisation but the guest is still shown by my teams.
It is infuriating. I wish it is removed completely.
Please, could you give me any advice how to remove it permanently.- danzuepCopper ContributorI have the same issue as well. I can't remove myself as a "Guest" of an organisation I don't have access to any more. Even worse is on my phone it seems to trigger multiple 2FA checks, after accepting the popup in Authenticator 2-4 times it finally lets me sign in.

In order to do so, you have to be able to sign in at the tenant you joined as a guest.
If the tenant admin removes you as a guest before you thought about leaving the tenant, you no longer can click the "Leave Organization" option.
Any other option?- myspacebarisbrokenCopper Contributorto - matthew_linx
I have seen the difference when following the steps I had mentioned above earlier and the one I am mentioning below:
1. Go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/organizations
2. Sign in with your account that have Guest account added (If not already signed in)
3. You should see the option to Leave Organization instead of Sign in to leave organization.
Try this and let me know if this helps.

Amardeep1001 I'm in consulting. It seems if the customer removes you from their Teams/AAD before you leave the Team in the desktop app, you cannot remove the Tenant from your Tenant list in the app. Bug or feature?
- agara73Copper Contributor
Lou_Mickley I have the same problem
If what you mean is you want to remove access for *your own* account as Guest in another tenant, as in remove it from the list shown on the screenshot, follow the steps here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/b2b/leave-the-organization

VasilMichev this was very helpful, thanks, I just remove myself (Çguest) from an external organization, in the Web App is all good, however, in the mobile app, I still see the guest account, how to remove it there? First I thought it was going to be a matter of minutes, hours, or days perhaps, but a week, it is definitely sticking in the mobile app. Any ideas?

I got the same experience. Left the organisation on the web site, but Teams is still showing it. Frustrating.

I have followed the steps indicated by VasilMichev and I can no longer sign in to the guest tenants in my Teams app, but they still show. I want to remove them.
- If you want to remove the guest from the team, you do as any other member by go to manage team - members - click the X on the right side of the user!
If the guest should be removed totally from your directory ( not visible to add to other teams or anything) you need to go into Azure Active Directory and remove the guest account there!
