why we can not create planner plans for private and shared channels
I have a Microsoft Private Teams, which contains; 2 standard channels + 1 private channel + 1 shared channel.
now for the standard channels i can create planner plan for them, as follow:-
while for the private and shared channels this option is not available, as follow:-
so what is the reason behind this , that we can not create planner plan for private and shared channels, even if i go to the related SharePoint site for the private and for the shared channels this option is not there as well:-
any advice?

Hi johnjohn-Peter,
The inability to generate Planner plans for private and shared channels in Microsoft Teams is attributed to the integration framework between Microsoft Teams and Planner.
Essentially, when a plan is initiated in Planner, it relies on the presence of an Office 365 group. Since private and shared channels in Teams do not possess their individual Office 365 groups, the inclusion of a Planner tab becomes unfeasible for these channels.
There was a workaround to add a planner as a website in private channel, but that doesn't also work anymore.

johnjohn-Peter I would recommend leveraging Microsoft Teams as an integration point between private channels/channels shared across teams to enable seamless task collaboration. Specifically, Planner relies on a SharePoint backend site to store and sync task plans, which dedicated SharePoint sites are not automatically provisioned for private or shared channels. However, users from separate teams and channels could be added to a common Planner if a SharePoint site is manually created and connected. Also, presence indicators in Teams would reflect availability status across both private and shared channels.
Furthermore, by establishing Planner plans centered around shared projects, employees will have a built-in space to communicate task updates relevant to multiple teams and channels. Through thoughtful Planner set up, Teams can act as a conduit between previously disparate working groups.
Implementing select, purpose-driven Planner plans accessible by members of various private/shared channels can unlock improved task alignment between employees without compromising the segregated nature of those channels at an access control level.
