Using Planner for team channels in teams
Hi All,
I seem to be unable to add planner to a team channel? I do not understand how this is possible. The only channel (general channel <=> system created) allows me to create a new planner for it. However, I have private channels to which I want to add private plans with planner. The planner app does not show up when i want to add a app. Even when I go to search for it, I do not get the Microsoft planner app as a result to add to my private team channels.
- Planner is not available to private channels yet. The work around would be to create a sub plan inside planner or the general channel then get a link to the plan and link it via website tab in the private channel.
But of course this means the plan is not private. The only way to get a private plan is creating a new one. But this will create a new group so you are just better off creating a whole new private team instead.
They said they are working on bringing the planner and the other group related apps to private channels but due to security limitations all being tied to groups I don’t see this happening any time soon.

Thank you for the quick response. That's all I needed to know. In my own perception I just expected it to be possible, so I thought I was missing something as to why it was not possible.
