Teams Log In with Students Account

Hi, when I try to create an account for Microsoft Teams it tells me that I am already signed up (through my university account). However, when I try to sign in with that same account I get the messagge "You're missing out! Ask your admin to enable Microsoft Teams for (university email)". I don't own the university account so I can't change any settings. Thus, this goes in circles and I don't know what to do since Microsoft support told me they're not responsible for this.

Appreciate any help!

This is probably because you are using an email address with a domain linked to an organisation which already has Office 365/Teams. The best and easiest way to do this is to sign up for a new microsoft account here

    https://account.microsoft.com/account

Then sign up for the Teams account. As said the domain which you are using is already used in Microsoft systems so you won't be able to sign up for Teams for it, unless the organisation which uses that domain provides you with a licence

    Hope that answers your question

    Best, Chris
