Teams appears to prevent creating hyperlinks that don't start with HTTP or https, and also won't let you click on a pasted link. Is there an Administrator or Site setting that prevents this?
The OS registers schemes (scheme://), and handles activating on them. They work in all other applications on the computer and other chat/IM applications. Why is Teams blocking them?
This is on MacOS 13.4, Teams v1.6.00.28554.
Please don't tell me to update to latest version, or clear cache, or restart my computer, or if this affects just me or other users.

Hi @sijitsma,
Microsoft Teams has built-in security features like ATP (Advanced Threat Protection) Safe Links to help verify the safety of links shared within the platform. Safe Links checks URLs to ensure that they are safe to click and helps protect users from potentially harmful links. This is part of Microsoft's efforts to enhance security within their applications.
The behavior you're experiencing might be a result of Safe Links blocking certain link types for security reasons. If a link is determined to be potentially unsafe by Safe Links, Microsoft Teams may restrict its use, which could explain why you're encountering difficulties with certain hyperlink types.
