Orphaned Team tenant from a personal account conflicting with enterprise Teams

Hi Folks,

 

Here's the situation.  I had a personal account at a business domain email address, tried out Teams Free, wanted to try the full business O365 teams .  Signed up for an O365 suite with the same domain, removed it from my personal account.

 

Now, I've got an orphaned Teams Free tenant.  Attempted to delete my personal Microsoft account (only held a personal O365 subscription) but the Teams Free tenant persists on both my desktop app and a collaborator's app, but now with no way to access or close the tenant (the email address associated with my personal account changed when I signed up for the business account and the support team wasn't able to close the Free Teams tenant because the primary email address changed.

 

Appreciate any help to get this resolved.
