New Teams - Video freezing
The latter machine has the following versions:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Driver Version 31.0.15.4601
Teams Classic File Version (Teams.exe) 1.6.00.30666
New Teams Version (ms-teams.exe) 23285.3604.2469.4152
MS Edge (msedge.exe) 119.0.2151.58
Again, it works fine with Teams Classic, but the New Teams consistently freezes. It has two freezing types.
1. Open a session with a Teams meeting in video. The video is working, and then something is shared. I saw the share for a while, and then no updates occurred. I then must exit and re-enter the meeting to get updated shared content.
2. I begin the meeting, and the Video immediately freezes.

Pastagl Mine is an Alienware too
From reading all these comments a lot of the problems are on gaming PC's it seems with high end videocards.- Rob_ICP_AZNov 15, 2023Brass Contributor
That was my observation a while back too, but if you read through all the posts, I pointed this out and asked if anyone was having the problem on a laptop with integrated graphics, and there are examples of that.
It's also not isolated to any particular manufacturer of anything.

Same problem as everyone else still with the video freezing and the shared content being blank. Though I just noticed that if I pop out the shared content it then becomes visible in the pop out.

I'm in a bad place because classic teams has my i5 Win11 HP Probook 450 G8 maxing out 16GB of RAM and fans on high.
New Teams seems to have a lower footprint, but every meet, within about 30 seconds, I'm greeted with a frozen screen of all participants. I can't see what they share either. Audio works but it's completely unusable.
I have to choose between a jet engine and constant page file usage (and resulting degradation), or no video.
As a side when I minimise Teams the overlay popup window does show me the unfrozen video of my colleagues currently speaking.- ThealsterNov 15, 2023Brass ContributorSame here - there is obviously a bug - someone suggests removing old and new Teams and reinstalling but I'm very nervous about that!
This has been going on for months and many people have the same issue Microsoft WHERE ARE YOU???
