NEW Teams Version - Remember to bring back "Contacts" in Chat

Good morning! I was able to download and activate the new version of MS - Teams...Looks good so far... But "Contacts" @Chat is missing in this new version.... I am not able to see my managed...

And here we are in May 2024 and basic functionality is still not restored. Without contacts in chat everything just takes more time and it's now incredibly annoying to use.

Simple example (using old teams): I want to quickly find someone in another team that's online right now so that I can ping a question. With one click I switch from chat to contacts, see every teams availability (they are all arranged by group, of course) and with a second click I've selected that available team member and I'm good to start chatting.

Have fun doing that in new teams 😞

Andrew9039 I agree, I find it very annoying as well; however, I am getting by after I added the People app to my tool bar. It brings back the contacts and their availability and you can click the chat icon to open a chat with the specific person.

I still prefer it as part of the chat app, but at least it is something.
