MS Teams issue with bluetooth speaker

Copper Contributor

Hello,

We have a user connected a bluetooth speaker on his laptop.  It works wonders will most apps he's using such as browsers, zoom, but he is unable to successfully use it for his Teams app.  It only works when using Teams on website version.  Any suggestions?

guess you already checked this, but to make sure I will ask it 😉

did you checked “devices” via the Teams client settings?

Hello@Mark_Noriega,

Let me try to help you 🙂

Step 2: Check the Audio Settings in Microsoft Teams

Make sure the Bluetooth speaker is set as the main audio device in Microsoft Teams after it has been successfully linked and connected to your laptop. How to do it is as follows:

  • Open Microsoft Teams and click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the window.
  • Select "Settings" from the menu.
  • Click on "Devices" in the left-hand menu.
  • Under the "Audio devices" section, select the Bluetooth speaker from the dropdown menu.
If the speaker is not listed in the dropdown menu, make sure it's properly paired and connected to your laptop (as described in Step 1).

Tips to fix-

Try utilizing MS Teams within a compatible browser.
Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
Update Bluetooth drivers.
Make sure your microphone is enabled for apps.
Disable the Bluetooth Enumerator LE device.
Check app audio configuration in Settings.
