I setup Teams Phone Mobile, but voicemail does not work

Brass Contributor

We are testing Microsoft Teams Phone, and I just switched my test user from a Microsoft Phone Plan to Teams Phone Mobile (similar to Operator Connect) plan from Verizon. However, my voicemail no longer answers the call. When I make a test call to my Microsoft Teams/Verizon phone number, the call just disconnects after 20 seconds. Voicemail does not pick up even though I have voicemail setup for this test user.

Could it be that Verizon disconnects before the Teams voicemail connects, if you turn down the "Ring for this many seconds before redirecting" to 10 seconds and see if it works better.
I still have the same problem. The call stops ringing on Teams after 10 seconds, but it continues ringing on my cell for about 20 seconds, then cuts the call off.
I think that you should report this to Verizon, if it is not on their side they have direct connection with Microsoft to be able to solve this. I've been running TPM for almost a year now and calls are redirected to voicemail without any issues.
So far, I've not been able to get anyone who can help me with this from Verizon. No one knows about Teams Phone Mobile there...

I'm not sure what changed, but it works now. Verizon was not very helpful. Most of their support reps aren't even aware of Teams Phone Mobile.

One other thing I discovered, when calling the number from a Skype for Business or Teams phone number, voicemail doesn't work. That may have been the issue all along.
