Event registration for offline meetings

Is it possible to set up offline meetings which require registration?

I have an upcoming corporate update roadshow for staff. There will be around 30 sessions for different regions and teams, almost all sessions will be in person - not online, almost all staff will have a couple of options to choose from.   I want to have a registration link for each event so I can promote different options and track attendee numbers.

I've tried creating the event in Teams to use the Registration function, but this doesn't seem to work when not hosting online.  Does anyone know a way to do this?

  • Hello Bren,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community, My name is Yakubu Suleman I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand you want to confirm if it is possible to set up offline meetings which require registration.

    Currently the feature you currently looking out for is not available. currently it is only Currently channel meetings and recurring meetings that don’t support attendee registration.

    I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this must have caused you.

  • bren_bloggs Can't you just use Microsoft Forms to make a registration form for each event ? The registration feature in Teams meetings uses forms for the questionnaire, but adds the elements to send meeting links and record attendance to the online meeting, but you don't need those bits in a in-person meeting.

    Create a form for each meeting and share the links for people to sign up, the form allows you to export a list of people that submitted the meeting to excel, or you can link the form to Power Automate to send email notifications etc.
