Channel meetings re-send outlook invite to all attendees when adding new attendee

When I create a Teams Channel meeting email invitations only go out to those specified on the invite and not to all the Teams Group members which is perfect. However, if I add additional attendees to the event or make any changes (add a file or update the notes section), a new Outlook invite is pushed to ALL attendees. Is there a setting similar to Outlook invitations or non-Channel meetings to only send updates to the additional people added? This is confusing and annoying to the existing attendees b/c they think something has been materially changed with the meeting when I've only added new attendees. For large group meetings, I've begun sending a "save the date" event invite and replacing it a few days before with the Channel meeting invite so I can still have the advantages of the Channel.
